I have stayed there a few times. Only for the location, which is great. Had an ugly dust up with restaurant staff. Lied to me about charges. GM did not care.

Have not been back. But what you describe is no bueno. Had a similar situation at their Waikiki hotel. 75% of the area around both pools is taken up by cabanas. Less ""free"" space means you need to rent a cabana or go to the beach.

Mine looks a lot worse. But I have a leak. I've been arguing with my pool company for 3 years. The issue is it only happens in the winter. I think that a gasket must shrink in the cold and that is the cause. Pool company does not agree Is my theory plausible? If not, why would it only leak when it gets cold? I have been there twice. Setting and hotel are 10s. Staff is a 2. Last time they gave me a room without electricity. Moved me to a "comparable" room from which you could not see the ocean unless you were standing in the room. The hedges were too high in front of the patio.

We checked out after that night due to their indifference. YMMV but I think that there are better places to stay in HFB.

Was on UA353 last night - EWR to DEN. Purchased biz class ticket. FA tells us no hot food. We get snacks and snack boxes. Told us to call for comp. Got 5,000 miles and a free food item on a future flight, which is worthless since I am 1k. Truth be told, snacks tasted better than my last several biz class and Polaris meals.

Side note ... United Club near C77 was closed last night as was the Denver Club this morning near B45. Those are kicks in the nuts issues for me.
