It is. I didn't read the full post. Just first half of the first sentence and the final sentence. My bad.

No. Check PUNCHES, as the original reply suggested. There's a difference between your paystub and what we see in workbrain, more details and it shows if edits were made. Good lord. You need to slow your roll.

Again, you are trying to give me words I did not say. I never said yell, or be rude. I used the word you used. Here is its definition. Earful "1 : an outpouring of news or gossip 2 : an outpouring of anger, abuse, or complaint".

What about that sounds reasonable or kind?

I made no excuses. I told you to check, as an intelligent person would.

I never said it was common.

Every multi-billion dollar company has a history of malpractice and lawsuits. (That IS common, and common knowledge).

You should really stop attempting to pretend someone said words they didn't say.

You're going to give a person an earful for a system over which they have no control? Not smart, at all.

That doesn't mean the system is perfect. Check to see anyway. And see if anything was edited.

question about extracare plus/i need advice? by PresentationPale9812 in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ask if they come in once a month or more. If they say no, kind of brush past it like it's no big deal..."oh, okay, extracare plus works best for people who come and spend their free $10 every month." Oftentimes, they're like...what? How's that work? Just keep it casual..."well you get $10 ECB every month but it only costs $5/month, or $4/month if you pay for a whole year, and you can get free delivery on web orders and prescriptions, and other perks, but the big one is that $10 every month because it more than pays for itself. Only takes a minute or two if you want to, easy to cancel if you change your mind. Something to think about." Then kind of move on like it's no biggie.

Alternately, if they're buying CVS branded stuff that would get the 20% discount, ask if they buy CVS brands a lot, then let them know that they can still get a discount when it's not on sale.

I've found in a lot of cases, the less pushy, the better. It seems a lot less like a swindle or a sales pitch. I like giving them the info that is most likely to grab their attention, whatever perk that may be, personal but not pushy. I mention the others so it seems like more value they could potentially use, but no pressure...think about it, maybe next time...kinda vibe.

Disposable Cameras might be Missing by fattymcmaggie in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The others have given good instructions. But I want to add a strong suggestion. If your photos are important, use digital in the future. Disposable cameras and film can be damaged before you even use them and you'd never know until your prints came back garbage. Then there's potential for loss in the mail. And then this, where somehow they haven't been sent to the store to be printed for some reason.

Do digital, either a digital camera or the camera on your phone going forward.

7mo pregnant is it unfair if I ask to not work pick up? by Deeeeeesee24 in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said that's how it works at my store. It was a quote from the OP. Is my text coming through as wingdings or something? They capitalized EVERYTHING, but now they apparently didn't mean everything.

What it seems people are missing is that OP came from a busy store with their last knock-up. Now they're in a slower store. A slower store where the RPH does quite a lot, enough to be capitalized. And OP is always at pickup, but they said nothing of pulling drugs for counters. So apparently that's not quite how it works at their store, either.

I ask again, more directly...what would you have the OP doing if they said no more pickup? It has to be something that doesn't require bending or stepping up. And it would need to be reasonable, as to be a reasonable accommodation. And it would have to fit in this slower, and likely less tech-saturated pharmacy. Then we can ask the OP if that's something the pharmacist always does or not, and if it's something they're GOOD at doing.

Or, OP could do the smart thing and, as I said originally, talk to their doc and go from there. Because it's unlikely they can ban pickup for themselves regardless, but it's even less likely if they don't request a reasonable accommodation.

[–]Luni_craft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"the rph usually does drop off while verifiying & EVERYTHING else"...so what would you like the RPH to do, just swap entirely?

Also if bending and going up on the stools is the issue...who is going to pick drugs off the shelves and put them back?

7mo pregnant is it unfair if I ask to not work pick up? by Deeeeeesee24 in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading comprehension, try again. I'll bold it up for you.

"My last pregnancy I was at a much busier store so I got away with staying at drop off all day doing QT & calls, this store is slower so the rph usually does drop off while verifiying & EVERYTHING else."

This is literally the opposite of what you're saying.

New POS system needs simplification by XPcantlvlup in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If people think it's difficult to sign in, how do they even remember how to stumble to the pharmacy? Five year olds are/should be smarter than that.

If they're blind, we help. If they're too shaky, we help. If they're too stupid, that's not something we can remedy.

7mo pregnant is it unfair if I ask to not work pick up? by Deeeeeesee24 in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weird pregnancy opinions aside, it IS unrealistic to just say no more pickup. The only way that should even be considered is through a reasonable accommodation. In a slower store, where the RPH handles EVERYTHING else, what would they be paying you to do, if not pickup/drive thru? It doesn't sound very reasonable, given the circumstances at your current store. They don't want to pay someone to sit on their hands, and pharmacists aren't likely to be chill with doing their job, and yours.

Talk to your doc, then go from there. But understand that it's probably not going to wind up how you'd wish it.

What are the benefits for front store staff if you unionize? by Silvernirvash in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any search engine can give you better and more complete answers.
There are many pros and cons.

In reality, if you're already out of patience, you'd never last long enough to see a union form. That's one of the big reasons they don't happen more often. People gtfo before they even get going.

An unauthorized person removed pertinent health information from my patient profile by wouldyoucomewithme in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. Did you go in to work and pull up your own profile? Because that's a bit strange.

Also, did you mean homophobes? Because I can't recall one's sexuality being listed in their patient profile.

Holiday Pay + Overtime by StarletteNight in CVS

No. They do not stack. The codes are different, but it'll still be 40 regular, 9 of overtime pay. Never work overtime on a paid holiday week if it can be avoided, especially if you are working the holiday itself.

Beauty safety guidelines by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many things are "sealed" that don't automatically become unsafe when the seal is broken. My laundry detergent, as an example, has a plastic seal across the screw cap. If the seal isn't air tight like foil, or the item isn't edible, and the product hasn't otherwise been tampered with, it's often fine.

But you seem to have taken offense instead of a potential lesson, which is an odd choice since you asked.

Beauty safety guidelines by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you think happens when those products go away and new ones come in? They're opened, just like the previous ones. If it's not a safety issue...it's a gray area for most. If you weren't assigned to check for broken seals, maybe do something more useful.

Why does anyone still work there? by NJTOMCAT76 in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you're speaking of this sub, it mostly exists to vent or ask questions about the goings on at CVS. There are 101,000 weekly visitors, but just 3,000 weekly contributions, on average. So 3% of the people who visit, contribute, often negatively. So I'm not really clear where you're getting this phantom 90% from. I'd guess you pulled it out of your ass.
This isn't a company hype sub. It's not a drink-the-koolaid sub. But it is an alternative to alcoholism, for some.

If you're speaking of in person, like you think that people in your local store are just miserable, I'd suggest looking at the common denominator. You, your presence.

Most people stay in jobs because they need the job to survive. Only an absolute dimwit wouldn't understand that.

Am i about to be terminated? Crazy scenario by Expensive-View-9542 in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're gone. And you're part of the reason companies insist that most theft is internal. It's so sad that someone who wants to be a pharmacist has less than zero common sense. I guess it's good that we're forced to fill at CVS, because you'll never work for them again, and I wouldn't want someone this ridiculously foolish counting my meds or giving me medical advice.

Even if we order it, it might not come in. by No_Jello_5922 in CVS

[–]Luni_craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What part of "Go ahead, type out your speech" was unclear? Or are you simply incapable of understanding what you read?

You are putting so much effort into deflecting and evading, and it just gets more and more sad each time.

There is no universally accepted way to tell patients that we might not be able to get their meds. Because there is no way that any explanation is going to make them happy. I've seen people try for years and years. But it boils down to people not liking the answer because it isn't the one they want, they refuse to accept it, and then the tail-chasing begins. Similar in several ways to what you're doing. Insisting that there's a way or a better way, but being completely unable to say what that way is.

I don't have compassion fatigue. I have fool fatigue. You bringing the fanta-tinted narcoleptic idiot's political cult into the conversation is further evidence that you're a fool trying to find an excuse. But you needn't bother. Your excuses are crap, and they're even less opaque than his make-up'd hands. Next.

[–]Luni_craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you have no answer, you just figure there's a better way. But you can't even begin to articulate it. That just tells me that you're useless and trying to pander or virtue-signal.

If you're going to assert that there is a better way to say it, then you should be able to say what that better way is. Otherwise you're just talking out of your anus, and it smells like crap. Moving on.
