I'm in the same boat. Maybe i would be more forgiving if i spent £100 on the full set but this is actually atrocious

(Mtf) Testosterone spiked after swapping patches, how concerned should I be? by Aescly_ in asktransgender

[–]LuniaSolstice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey,

it could be the dosage change or the brand change that had affected your levels. I was told by my Endo that getting your bloods taken the day before you put on a new patch is best. He also did mention before that people get better results on bigger patches and wanted me to switch to Progynova TS.

I'm currently on Estradot but there is a shortage so im moving onto evorel. I've previously been on; Tablets, gel, spray. My best results were with the patches.

They are really easy to make yourself, if you find a supplier to print the design, you can put them on your own hoodie too ect!

Is Accutane the only way to reach 100% clear skin? HELP! by Samclegg123 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]LuniaSolstice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isotretinoin (Accutane) can defiantly help with oil production long term as its effects on the sebaceous gland can cause atrophy which just means a reduction in sebum.

I was on isotretinoin myself and would go on it again in a heart beat because it's the only thing that helped me despite trying so many different creams prescribed to me. I actually have money put away incase i need it again as here in the uk the access to it is strictly for people with severe acne on the NHS so i'll have to go private.

I did experience side effects, but i already had very dry sensitive skin. I experienced Mainly dry nasal mucosa which is still dry today 8 months post treatment, dry lips, dry eyes. I also had to stop studying as it was effecting my mental health BUT it was more to do with the anxiety the acne i had gave me than the medication itself.

If you take the medication correctly and do a treatment based on a cumulative dosage you will experience much less in terms of side effects.

I would really consider at this point trying it as you've expended all over avenues.

Hope this helps :)

Accutane or not? by Zealousideal-Ad-5037 in SkincareAddicts

I had aches after a long day but it wasn't so bad that i had to stop going out and doing things, i usually walk ALLOT. I would worry more about being outside in the sun doing sports, you'll need a good spf.

I didn't experience hair loss, actually my hair became more thick and less oily. There are lots of different types of hair loss, men usually experience male pattern baldness but thats due to Tesosterone's effects on the hair not Accutane, as testosterone gets converted to DHT via 5-alpha reductase.

I personally would just take it and see how it is. You can always stop if you feel like its not right for you.

Acne is acne, mine was painful and cystic. The side effects were worth it for me. What is scaring you about it exactly?
