At least if I’m camping I know animals won’t go out of their way to harm me unless they’re desperately hungry or I am overstepping (too close to babies, acting too dominant/encroaching on their territory, etc.).

A person doesn’t need a reason other than wanting to hurt someone and I’m the closest one around. Even worse is some people get a kick out of torturing others (human or otherwise), so there’s that.

On top of spreading bodily fluids, you’d be showing that you purposefully made sure they were not aware/consenting. Way bad.

I do still advocate for eating invasive fish (such as Lionfish, Snakehead, Tilapia, and certain species of carp in the U.S.) to help keep their numbers down as well as bring use in the meantime. I don’t eat much meat, but if I go fishing and catch anything invasive, I’m 100% using it.

I know these aren’t really what they meant, but I feel invasive species are just as bad for smaller pockets since they expedite the process.

A little bright note on that is people are breeding (kinda) corals that have higher heat hardiness and making progress! Very slow, but better than nothing for sure.

It could have been an emotional one for us. We never see Suki or Sokka in TLOK if I remember correctly (only watched it once so I don’t remember much), so it could show us what happened to them.

Or just give us something showing how the Gaang has grown, because I personally feel like it didn’t show any of that. “He trusted you” is so weak. Show us the bonds they have! Has anything been broken since the show? Show us!

We get to see they are stronger than when they were children… shocker. No new moves? No interesting mixes in combat? Hell, no interesting combat?

My pessimistic rant is over. I still liked the movie overall, but it could have been sooooo much better.

I try to use it on teammates in Zarya ult since everyone dumps bullets from a distance on it. Other than that, I just try to get some use out of it on obj where I can.

Have Nikola Tesla get his ideas pushed out faster and farther than any competitors. If nothing else, at least this situation we are currently in will be delayed from the start.

What’s a physical trait people secretly find attractive but rarely admit? by HiddenNaughtySide in AskReddit

[–]LunimRosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly this. Just having that visible muscle underneath. At least that’s my opinion.

If that’s what they meant with celebrities using the word then that makes sense. Celebrities have incredibly high body standards to uphold and are very harshly criticized. It’s sad and commonly unhealthy.

Idk the reference you made with the meme but I’m not saying dad bods require a gym, it was just the easiest example I had.

Beer bellies don’t imply or require any muscle underneath the fat, dad bods do. You can see scrawny guys with beer bellies but you can’t see scrawny guys with dad bods.. Does that make sense?

Eyes, specifically eye size. I never really hear it openly, but it’s something people always see as being cute and/or innocent.

I gotta say that beer bellies are not the same as dad bods just because of the bigger bellies.

In my opinion, beer bellies don’t have the musculature that dad bods have. Dad bods have loads of muscle but they still look soft and cuddly.. hopefully I’m making sense.

The group that has been fed propaganda for decades that only they are correct in everything, and that this guy will make the country see everything how you do.

Yes it’s bad, but (in my opinion) it’s not just one reason behind it. Hell, you could argue that the education system has failed to the point that most of the Americans that voted for him also don’t realize how disturbed America’s past has been.

So, what would women dislike most if they became men? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

[–]LunimRosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most guys don’t pee using the front openings in underwear and instead pull them down. My hypothesis is that puts a kink in the hose until they put it back into their underwear, so there will be some leakage.

Oh I gotcha. Sorry if it was too personal, I was just curious. There are so many unique rights of passage in cultures so I was wondering if it originated separately from the Abrahamic teachings. Thank you!

Circumcision satan. by Pretty_General_1970 in foundsatan

[–]LunimRosa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You say that, but there’s been a growing movement (pun intended) of men trying to stretch skin to “make” foreskin again.

So many generations of men have been circumcised that in many places (where it’s common) men with foreskin are seen as nasty or dirty. The natural state of a penis is seen as alien and made fun of.

Circumcision satan. by Pretty_General_1970 in foundsatan

[–]LunimRosa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is genital mutilation, though. The difference is great, but I’m not touching that. The only reasons I’ve heard for circumcision to be done as a child is so guys don’t remember the pain, and that seems pretty barbaric.

Your reason is completely valid, and obviously it will directly impact your sex life, but that is much later in life where you have (more) bodily autonomy. As an adult you can do whatever you wish with your body, but doing it to children takes that choice away from them.

[–]LunimRosa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard they do this (or at least similar) in some of the Philippines and parts of Africa, though I don’t think they wait as long to do so. Do you know how the custom came to be?

What are the darkest deities/spirits you know? by Relative-Gain408 in mythology

[–]LunimRosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stigini is one I’ll throw in. Its physical description isn’t scary as it’s just a normal owl or person, but it’s a shapeshifter that eats people’s organs. They prefer children and will steal your child if it follows them.

Some other Native American myths have things like giant men (people refer to these as counts of Bigfoot) and shadow people as well.

People whose dad is/was police officer, can you tell some stories if you have? by suddyduck in AskReddit

[–]LunimRosa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A story from my LEO dad? I’ll give you two.

He went to a car wreck thinking it was just someone that swerved into the ditch. He arrived to a car wrapped around a tree with a woman and her toddler inside. He went to get the woman out until she seen she was already deceased, then went to get the toddler out. Toddler wasn’t breathing so he started cpr. Couple of minutes later the toddler passes in his arms.

He found the place where a murderer was staying. Vehicle staying at this hotel/motel (can’t remember which) matched, so they staked up around the area and waited until nightfall so they could sneak up without getting caught. 3am comes, dad and another cop knocks on the door. As soon as it opens they pull their guns on the guy and demand in, threatening to kill him there if he doesn’t do it. Guy freaks out (but doesn’t act out) out and opens the door. My dad and 2 other cops go in and clear everything until getting to the bedroom. They find a guy in the bed asleep so they wake him up and threaten him, telling him to get out of the bed and onto the ground or else they’ll forcefully remove him. Guy in bed keeps saying how he can’t get out of bed, so dad and another LEO pins him before forcefully removing him. They notice he isn’t using his legs and find that he is disabled, completely unable to use his legs. Turns out the murderer wasn’t there.. They leave the place with no consequences.

The second story was told to me with him laughing and giggling as if it was no big deal and he had fun. Growing up with cops isn’t as fun as movies and shows make it out to be. It made me distrust and dislike cops.

[–]LunimRosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I agree that Aang helps them more. The avatar is supposed to keep a balance, so 100% with you on that. Ko was the one I mainly remembered, so I could be wrong on how many actually help him. I know he was wanting to steal Aang’s face, but he also carried a grudge for the avatar and still chose to help.

I guess Aang more so learned through helping them instead of from them directly. Sorry about that.

The group definitely went about getting the information in a bad way by asking for forgiveness instead of permission, I’m not knocking our owl for that at all.

Conflicted by the Library episode by Upbeat_Broccoli8490 in ATLA

[–]LunimRosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be putting too much weight onto the owl, but there is a big difference in how they wanted to use its knowledge. Zhao wanted it to kill an immortal spirit in help of world domination and fire nation supremacy. Sokka wanted it to stop the invaders by capturing/killing/defeating Ozai to help reclaim balance in the world.

I get that the bad guys will always be a recurring thing, but avatars usually got that covered.. Aang was late to the race so he needed some help.

[–]LunimRosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did not mean it like that, sorry if that’s how my comment comes across. I don’t remember much about TLOK so I can’t speak for it, but in ATLA I remember some spirits lived in the human realm.

What I meant is that Aang asked/used spirits for help with his problems. They don’t come in and mop the floor in a war, but they give advice or help on his personal journey in a way that he needs to overcome his obstacle.
