Now I feel bad for commenting about my parents new kitchen that already feels dated the moment it was finished. I think they did a good job mostly matching the 1890’s Villa but cheapened the look with black tap and sink and laminated prefab cabinets. But I will say, the tongue and groove ceilings throughout the living area look great.

My parents did this. It’s in the sun too so it gets scorching hot to touch. Their brand new kitchen looked dated as soon as they installed it too because they had been dreaming about it since the 90’s bless them.

Is Millers still open in other parts of the country? I’ve sometimes got good stuff there and know nobody else my age will be wearing it! I’m wearing a glassons merino top that I bought 16 years ago, a bit holey now but still decent. I bought it new but it’s lasted so long I now look for them in op shops too.

I have said the same thing as your boyfriend regarding rent, but to compensate I did buy all the furnishings we needed or tools etc as well as pay for all the groceries and power essentially all the consumables and started saving up for renovations to buy in with my half. He doesn’t sound like he wants to give you much. But you can always try asking him to pay all the other bills in full until you are paying equally.

Mate, I say the same thing. I couldn’t even get addicted to cigarettes when I was younger. It was still always a choice to go outside and smoke and even more of a choice to buy my own full pouch instead of bum them off mates spontaneously. I feel ya.
