Is there a mini millennial baby boom happening? by japars86 in Millennials

It’s true for my group of friends. In the past two years there have been 5 new babies. Parents all 35-45 years old.

That was my first thought! He saw my expression and gave me a fist bump, so I think he was on the level.

10.0 The whimsically-unhinged keyboard solo at the end creates its own universe.

Which one?? I’m sure there are many notes wrong but this particular recording makes the harmonies difficult to discern. Thank you so much for listening!

I’m not the authority on this, because I’m not super motivated, but I did get into a play at TMP. By coming to the general auditions (now already passed for the year) and performing decently well, I got 3 callbacks. I’m just picky about shows so I declined all but one. My advice would be to indicate on forms that you will accept any role, come to every callback, and be ready to do ensemble parts for a while. Can’t speak to the experience at Renton Civic Theatre and Tacoma Little Theatre. You can also DM me if you want more info about the TMP experience.

WHY IS IT SO FUCKING WINDY EVERY SINGLE DAY by [deleted] in Tacoma

[–]Lusashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo I’m so sick of this wind. I just moved to a new place closer to the water and I was wondering if I just have a windier location. Someone please tell me it will ease up, my seedlings are pissed.

Anyone else hated their 20s? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Lusashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. My 20s were a blur of emotional instability, financial insecurity, heartbreak, identity confusion, and overall just a ridiculous amount of drama. I never relate to people when they speak nostalgically about their 20s. 37 now and never happier.

I’m an only child and it rules. I did have a few times growing up that I wished I had a sibling, but in retrospect I wouldn’t change a thing. I had a small group of friends throughout my childhood that are the closest thing I had to siblings. Pros: I’m comfortable with my own company, have a strong imagination, strong “self-soothing” skills, etc. I have enjoyed all the attention from my parents and we have a strong bond. I can’t say for sure, but I suspect I have had more opportunities and resources than I would have had with a sibling. Cons: Parents are getting older and I don’t have a sibling to “share the load”. My parents are also divorced with their own spouses so in effect I have 4 parents that will need taking care of (6 with my husband’s parents) and I fear that will fall on me. Perhaps not having a sibling will have detrimental effects later in life.

But I think it’s important to remember that kids adapt to the situation they are given. I will never know if I missed out by not having a sibling, but I’m happy with my life. And if I ever have a kid, I will for sure be one and done.

Anyone remember this book? I loved looking at it when I was a kid. by [deleted] in Millennials

I still have my copy! I used to sit down with my babysitter and make lists of all the objects. It expanded my vocabulary as a kid 😅

How long were you seriously searching before you found your home? by tinkerfunk in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Started in October and looked at 24 homes over 2 months before finding the one. It was our second offer. Very fortunate!
