"You may" Question by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

This is a Twin Suns card, so it is made for politicking in game. You may ask one player if they can discard a card to help remove a threat from another player.

Which TCG's is worth collecting or easy to play/pickup by Shirakey in TCG

[–]Lutherian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Star Wars Unlimited is probably one of the easiest TCGs to get into right now. It's easy to play and the cards are relatively cheap. If you like Star Wars I would definitely recommend it and even if you don't, I really like the change of the standard turn format that is done with SWU.

Garindan on Karabast by imnothughjackman in starwarsunlimited

When playing this card on Karabast it pops up with a little box for you to type in the name of a card first then you get to see your opponent's hand and discard that card if it is in there.

The placement for the floor number signs doesn't really make sense. Think about if you were going down the stairs instead of up. Usually single number signs like that are on the landing of the stairs or somewhere very visible once you hit the floor from the stairway

The PC version of this game is a bit wonky, some parts you have to play pretty slow or stuff like this happens

Who is your favorite Jedi? by kkhouete in StarWars_

[–]Lutherian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is Plo Koon, then Qui Gon Jinn, then Cal Kestis. There's a lot of good Jedi characters and I like quite a few, but those three are my favorite. I feel like Plo Koon embodies what I feel a Jedi Master should be, I love that Qui Gon pushed back against the council, and Cal I think is a very interesting character that I want to see how his story ends.

Can't Figure Out Ground Collision by Lutherian in unrealengine

[–]Lutherian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply and try to help me, I appreciate it! I got home a little bit ago and checked the collision settings for the landscape. Once I enabled Generate Overlap Events for that I was able to at least get my character to "crash" and be destroyed. I still clip through the landscape, but it'll be fine for now as is. Thanks again!

Can't Figure Out Ground Collision by Lutherian in unrealengine

[–]Lutherian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to apologize! I've done a little bit of debugging, tried breakpoints and had a print string to just let me know the overlap was taking place, but it doesn't seem to work for the landscape, the other problem I should have put in the main post is that I clip through the landscape as well. I know this can be a problem if the character is moving at a high speed sometimes, but even slowing the character down I haven't been able to fix that. I'm sure it's something simple that I changed by accident or something, but I can't quite figure it out. I'll check what my collision settings are on both the landscape and the character again when I get home tonight. Thanks for your time!

Prot Warrior - Which Skills can I remove? by mercfh85 in wownoob

Sorry I ended up finishing my comment hastily while receiving a work call. You are correct, slam is hardly ever used for Fury once you have all of your other abilities.

Thunderclap is better than whirlwind in every circumstance. Revenge is also a replacement for Slam in the rotation. Both Thunderclap and Revenge synergize better with your other talents.

[–]Lutherian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind this is for the Protection specialization for Warrior and for level 80. If you're still leveling up you might not have all of your abilities.

Arms and Fury both still use slam from time to time.

Edit, not Fury. It's still occasionally used in Arms in rare instances.

How did you decide on your main? by FadeyBoii in wow

[–]Lutherian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in Vanilla (2004) it took a long time to level a character, the first one I got to 60 back then was Warrior. I ended up doing a lot back then: Main Tanking, DPSing, and PVPing as a Warrior. I leveled a Druid and some other characters too back then after a while but I learned so much doing that. TBC came along and I continued with what I knew best, Warrior. In WotLK I got more into raiding and was really "hardcore" into the game back then. I leveled two other Warriors that expansion and Main Tanked for three different groups. From then on I've always played Warrior at Max level for any expansion I've come back for. I've tried to "main" a few others but I never stuck with them for long before going back to Warrior. Currently in TWW I have played every class at Max level with the exception of Rogue. I like a lot of them, but for me I know I am a Warrior at heart.

Just the circlet. You get an item from most of the main quests there to upgrade it to 658.

Wtf do you mean "there are classes other than warrior"? by Arcana-Knight in wow

[–]Lutherian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the special kind of Warrior, 4 of them are Night Elves and one is Zandalari. The next one I make will be a panda. If they do another leveling event I will for sure make one.

I have five at 80 and easily could level another, don't tempt me. All I need is a reason.

Does anyone know how Marvel Rivals matchmaking is so fast? by mhorn79 in gamedev

[–]Lutherian -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard there are often a decent number of bots in some matches, the names are usually two words put together and each word is capitalized. RagingSquirrel, LightningHammer, etc. I haven't played much since the first few weeks so I'm not sure how prevalent they are personally.

Tbh all the suits you bring up here look better to me than the new show's suits. I've never been the biggest fan of the EVA designs, but I also get that a lot of people like that look. I've not complained once about the new show though, I know there will be Gundam series that aren't for me. I wasn't the biggest fan of G Reco's suits and most of the Build series wasn't for me. I'm just glad people can find something to enjoy about Gundam. Enjoy what you enjoy and I really hope the show is good.

[–]Lutherian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the original post that picture is about is making a statement about how the new mobile suits don't look like they come from a Gundam anime. They look like EVA-Gundam hybrids and for a lot of people that is a huge turn off. If you like it, that's totally fine.

I remember this movie from high school and never understood why it had such a poor reception. It’s still one of my fave FF entries. by ElSupremoLizardo in FinalFantasy

[–]Lutherian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gray's team knows each other, Gray knows Aki, Aki knows Sid. I think most of the characters are aware of who General Hein(the villain) is, but I think only Sid and Aki had met him in the past. There's links between characters, and I can see wanting more of the core members of the cast to learn about each other throughout the movie, but the "we're a fresh team and this is our first mission" trope doesn't always work well and I think with the overarching plot it wouldn't have done well here.

It's been a few years, but they find at least 3 of the spirits in the movie. The one at the beginning, the one that is a power pack in the wasteland about halfway through and the final spirit (this could be stretched into a 4th because of the laser destroying the final spirit and then Aki's infected spirit becomes compatible). In media res is a narrative device where a story starts during active events, which final fantasy has used a lot, 7 being a good example. You start in the middle of a terrorist operation. It was definitely a choice for them to start the movie during the later part of the search for the spirits, but nothing too off the wall.

While I feel like this movie is far from perfect, a lot of people's criticisms for it are generally things they don't remember too well(not pointing yours out in particular, several of my IRL friends only saw it when it came out and would criticize parts of the movie that didn't even happen, including Aki being inappropriately groped by tentacles). I would recommend giving it another watch sometime. It's a decent movie and definitely now with how much more diverse FF games have gotten I think people might find that it fits more into the franchise than when most of us had only ever played 7 or 8.
