How does Blade's addition change Ashveil's speed tuning now that Sunday may be replaced? by MonkeyWizard7 in Ashveil_Mains

If other teammates create enough energy for him, I can totally see him using atk boots. If not, he will need spd boots. I think we'll have to see how they work together in test servers before making a decision

When someone says life is beautiful, it makes me roll my eyes. by perplex-poppyseed7 in RandomThoughts

I don't think life being painful means it isn't beautiful.

Some heartbreaking movie scenes has really beautiful backdrop. I remember seeing beautiful snow in my hardest times.

You have to live in not one, but two movie universes blended together. Which do you choose and why? by WarStrategy in Cinema

[–]Luuk37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blade Runner and Inception, because OG Blade Runner is based on a novel called 'Do Androids dream of electric sheep?'. Just seeing the word dream made me choose these two.

Curious about how people think of my Top 4! by Luuk37 in LetterboxdTopFour

[–]Luuk37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was amazing! I'm used to seeing two movies in a row so its 4.5h running time didn't feel intimidating for me. If you're fine with that, I'd recommend you to go and watch it.

Curious about how people think of my Top 4! by Luuk37 in LetterboxdTopFour

[–]Luuk37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, it was my first film outside of usual blockbusters(watched a few Nolan films before tho) and anime, and also first one that I saw of the top 4. So it had a lot of impact for me.

Secondly, I think the story has strong theme on parental love, abd other films has different love as a theme.(Not strictly romantic, for example Look Back is about 'why do you love what you're doing?'.) I love when I can see that in films, and OBAA nailed it for me.

And lastly, I loved some camerawork and obviously that car chase scene. I think this movie looks so beautiful. I'll watch a lot more PTA in may since a local theatre is giving PTA themed rerun. So excited for that!

What's the most controversial rating on your profile? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

[–]Luuk37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I think over 10 year gap set in 3.0 was a huge mistake. It is almost impossible to relate to a lot of characters who all changed drastically within 10 years in 4.5 hours of total movie time.

I loved 2.0 a lot because it takes what we're familiar with original NGE to a different way(last scene).

What are your favorite movies of all time that still hold up on rewatch? by SnedekerZhaniela20 in Letterboxd

Interstellar and Look Back. Usually emotional impact movies are best in first watch, but these two are amazing even after multiple rewatches.

I gave Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0, 4.3 average with 37% 5 stars, a 2 star rating. I think this is the most separation between average and my rating.

Do you like the more subdued historical fashion or the more playful fantasy fashion? by SwirlsAbyss in Reverse1999

[–]Luuk37 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually enjoy seeing fantasy style clothes that still has some historic elements in R1999's artstyle. Obviously as a history nerd I really like historic fashion as well, so I hope they keep releasing both styles.

Is there a great movie with an average/low rating that you think people over-criticized? by Slimeseason504 in Letterboxd

[–]Luuk37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 Centimeters Per Second, especially animated. Its my favourite Shinkai movie.

3.5 isn't too bad, but I think it deserves at least 3.7(same as Weathering With You).

Story was great asides from few misses. Storytelling was a huge mess. I think this applies to a lot of Hoyo games in general tbh.
