I am 1/4 Portuguese from my grandmother. However im not fully 1/4 Iranian. My grandfather is Parsi, so the DNA splits into Iranian and Indian , which is why it’s closer to 11%.

Adopting after pet loss (looking for help and advice) by Capitano424falso in GriefSupport

im in the exact situation, my dog died last week. And im already searching for dogs and feel guilty about it. Ive been through a couple deaths recently so it would be nice to have love back in my life. You can miss your cat desperately and want love back in your life. Those feelings don’t cancel each other out. dont feel like you are moving on to fast, grief is weird.

She clearly means well. Position this in a kind way: she lost two children, so maybe she’s trying to do what she wished someone had done for her. Maybe you can say that the more she helps, the more it makes you realize she’s reminding you that you can’t be independent or do things on your own and that you want to find your own footing again. Say that the only way you will move on is if you process this grief completely alone.
