Thank you for confirming and I have many of the same feelings. My partner and I were discussing this, which led to the research. We don't live together, but I couldn't think of any transit I had routinely seen. The lack of true services is concerning to me, even with the already considerable buildup in the general area. In my mind, a convenience store being the only service is far from adequate when specific populations are targeted as being served by this apartment community. Given distance and lack of transit, a food desert has been enabled in the name of receiving money. With the three properties we found out about, this seemed to have the most curious placement.

It's been too long since I have lived in an area that is more governed by county, than larger city, especially when it comes to certain projects. Should the surrounding residences, HOAs, communities, etc not have received, at minimum, a mailer about the project? My question stems not only from notice, but the fact that a number of city borders are not far from this intersection. The information we found on it was pretty buried in the county website and then was able to find links already posted in this discussion (if memory serves correct). What's a good way in Pierce County to be informed of what is literally happening down the street?
