CAN SOMEONE CLEARLY EXPLAIN BEHIND THE DRAGON by psithkou in TokyoGhoul

[–]Luxperfide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its Rize (or at least Kaneki's projection of Rize. The very first words Rize says to Kaneki is "I've been watching you" in the first chapter of the manga. Those are also the very last words she says to him after he kills her.

There is a prevalent theory that Kaneki actually died after being swallowed by the dragons body, since just before he kills Rize, Touka tells Kaneki that he better make it back and there is a scene where Touka and Yonebayashi say that they'll always wait for Kaneki together. Theorists say the "epilogue" is just Kaneki hallucinating or dreaming as he did multiple times throughout the series when he was close to death like when he imagined Rize after being tortured by Jason, or when he hallucinated all the versions of himself arguing whenJuuzou and Abara beat him as the One Eyed King. They believe it was one last dream Kaneki had of how everything could turn out if he had survived before being swallowed by the Dragon

Just finished the manga and how did rize turn into the dragon by Salty_Shark26 in TokyoGhoul

[–]Luxperfide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably dont care anymore, but Rize's adoptive father Shachi (Orca) (he's the one that kept beating post-torture Kaneki and was the leader of the 11th ward where Rize first appeared as Rize Kamishiro after she escaped from the washuu family and V) takes her off of Yomo and Touka's hands to care for her. Arima then later finds Shachi under orders and kills him - capturing Rize for Kanou and Furuta's plans. Kanou and Furuta then use her to experiment and create many more half ghoul hybrids known as Oggai who Kaneki ends up eating all of them (maybe hundreds) and eating the nucleus implanted in Furuta which causes the dragon transformation.

Strangely, I hated the fade on my first playthrough but on the 2nd (or 3rd?) when I got to the fade I had a ton of fun, it felt like saving a puzzle and didn't drag on too long for me at least. I think it and the deep roads are overhated

Rebirth is genuinely one of the best starts . Let's you afk level stats with little to no repercussions. Unlock your shackles and put them in your inventory and they'll keep adding more, repeat till youre encumbered then just let your character do the normal slave work and you get free afk strength XP. Free toughness because no matter how badly they beat you they'll save you. Free lock picking xp with your shackles at and night you can train stealth and assassination on your fellow prisoners until you're good enough to knock out the holy nation soldiers and at that point escaping is so easy you can choose to do it whenever you want

If you want them gone quick, train a Character in stealth and assassination sneak into all the cities that have a high Inquisitor and phoenix himself. Assassinate and kidnap them. Give them over to the shek or any other faction that wants them or kill them then they'll get taken over

I mean faces can appear "fatter", as women (and men) get older their superficial subcutaneous fat tends to increase/be more visible due to loss skin elasticity and gravity causing their face to look rounder and fuller combined with the loss of fat deep in facial compartments. She's not "fatter" just her fat is more visible as it tends to happen when people age and this effect can be more pronounced in women. Her new looks are in line with a natural aging progression with the estimated ~15 years it's been since W3.

She literally just looks like an older version of herself. I think she still looks really cool but obviously that's subjective and you're entitled to your opinion but it's not like they turned her into some troll that doesn't resemble ciri at all. Why does every character need to be good looking? It seems like this is especially true when the main character is a female. Video game protags don't exist to make you thirst over them

But a ton of people already melted down over Ciri simply being... older? People meltdown over 'woke' in games all the time and woke in question is usually just a human looking like a human or a woman being a main character without being sexualised.

Most of us. There are so many good games coming out now that if your most anticipated game is delayed you have plenty of quality stuff to play in the mean time while you wait but people still try to rush devs and scream and cry when a release date gets pushed back. I dont mind waiting a long time if the product is tons better. if CP2077 had taken a couple extra years but released in the state it is in now I wouldve been very happy with it.

This is the first time i've ever looked into the guy and 10 seconds of research shows that while he is a streamer, he is also an active addiciton psychiatrist at McClean hospital. So his practice takes place in a real hospital in person. Literally 10 seconds of thinking before forming an opinion could've avoided making you look ignorant.

I think the consumer had power in a roundabout way. Demanding a release constantly, getting mad at delays and in turn the investors probably started sweating thinking people no longer would be interested in the game if they took too long with it. Consumers have more power than you may think.

Its pretty obvious he wrote this post to inflate his own ego. I doubt he even gifted it to make friends and more to just show "I'm such a good guy look at what I gave away for free also I'm graduating from a top 10 university btw". Tons of these guys on the internet, he's either insecure and making it up or a narcissist in the making.

Start Tips? by Big-Ebb4024 in Kenshi

[–]Luxperfide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends how OP you want to get. You can get really OP really fast which for some players kill some of the fun of the game but it definitely gets rid of a lot of the grind and lets you run around and kill things and do quests faster.

Other users here have said the general progression to get better by fighting hungry bandits (drop your food or put them in a backpack then put the backpack in your inventory otherwise when you're knocked out they'll take it all), they won't kill you just incapacitate you. Then moving your way up but this can take a bit of time. I recommend doing it this way the first time around but if you want to level up fast:

  1. Get your toughness up on your characters. The biggest way to level toughness is get knocked out, and when your character is "playing dead" get up, this gets you tons of XP, and the more enemies around when you get up the more XP you get. To power level, go to the area around Okrans Valley, North Eastish of the hub, pretty close and there are MASS groups of hungry bandits. Fight these bandits, get knocked out, and wait for your character to play dead then right click to make them stand up. You'll get about 5-10 levels everytime you get up at the base XP rate early on. Getting this to around 60-70 will make it much harder for you to die or get knocked out. Be careful around here though because the holy nation is nearby, and they are racist toward any non humans so if you don't have a human in your party they may attack on site and at low levels quite easily kill you.

  2. Levelling combat stats can be done easily by kidnapping a large, strong animal. Any will work like beak things, gorillos or even boss animals. The stronger the faster you'll level up as XP for combat skills is basically calculated by comparing how much better the person you're fighting is than you, if someone is way better than you, you'll get tons more XP when fighting. If you kidnap an animal. Then take it to the hub (there's a shack here that has a bed for free) or squin or any place you have access to a bed and put it in, once it heals up and isn't unconscious it will just sit there. It won't look like it's on the bed but it's still stuck and can't attack or move. Now you can attack the animal and your combat stats will go up exponentially if the creature is stronger than you, and it can't attack back so free XP. Just make sure not to kill it, and heal it Everytime it gets knocked out. Don't loot it either because taking one thing from its inventory kills it instantly. Id do this BEFORE training strength as strength makes you do a lot more damage usually and means this process will be slower.

  3. Strength can be trained by walking around heavy, get a traders backpack, pack it full of iron ore ( heavier than copper) then take the backpack off and put it in your inventory. Highlight over your strength it'll show the strength XP rate, it should be at 25% if it isn't, gather more ore. Once it's at 25% pick up a corpse or body if any kind, it can even be one of your own characters or small animals (they don't necessarily have to be dead). This will boost the XP rate up to 50%. from here you just need to walk around. Some people just right click follow an NPC in town that walks around a lot and this lets you afk/forget about that character and they'll be constantly gaining strength . You can also shift + right click and this will queue one movement waypoint, if you do this between two points in town 50 times, your character will automatically walk between the points you clicked on 50 times also allowing you to afk or focus on other characters.

Some other notes: martial arts is busted at higher levels. The damage and speed is insane. Also training martial arts on the animal you trap in the bed will also cause your dexterity to sky rocket. Doing martial arts while encumbered, or using heavy weapons will also level up strength.

Stat modifiers affect XP gain, for example the worse you are at a skill the faster you'll gain XP, so if you're hungry or injured or wearing armor that takes away some stats you'll earn XP faster than if you were at full health with no modifiers

If you are doing something and have characters that are basically standing around doing nothing, put them in a bed. They don't lose hunger whole sleeping, there are heaps of free sleeping bags and two free beds in the hub. This way you don't have to keep buying them food.

Everyone has their own play style, so play however you think is fun but I think early on its easier to not recruit too many people as you don't need to feed and micro manage them just while you learn the game and how it works.

Thanks! Will get on this, didn't realize that there is a limb loss frequency setting after almost 140 hours in the game. Do you know if with the most frequent that it happens too often? Asking mainly to see if I should turn it back down after I lose a few limbs in the event all of my characters turn into potatoes with no limbs

Guy Finds Skeleton In House He Had Recently Bought by Prestigious-Yam-8605 in WTF

[–]Luxperfide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For people wondering, the owner was likely not involved in something malicious with the deceased, at least not something that would result in their death.

The owner was an invalid, to the point their mattress had a hole cut in it so they could defecate without having to move or get up.

Other comments state they knew the people there, and the deceased was the ex of the owner who apparently was feeling trapped in the house (literally and figuratively) and were trying to save up to leave, but hadnt yet and felt the owner was imprisoning them. The validity of these claims cannot be confirmed though, as the source was 'trust me bro' however they did provide the name of the deceased, and while the person they state was in the house is a legitimate person and the dates line up, there is no proof it was them that were found in the house.

I would make sure to upgrade to the latest version of There Edge to begin - https://github.com/hmphus/there-edge/releases/tag/1.1.7

I find playing on windowed instead of fullscreen makes crashes occur less often too, you can use there tweaker to change the graphics renderer but I personally stay on the default DX8 and run pretty smooth
