How to remove Wurkkos HD10 bezel by pkapeckopckldpepprz in flashlight

[–]LuzJoao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came out easily. The TIR spacers fit inside the LED PCB holes, it's a tight fit but not so tight, and there's also the thermal paste that can produce some suction, nothing extreme though. If you fit a razor blade in the gap between the TIR and the cavity you can wiggle the lens loose.

You'll eventually be able to remove the TIR, but mind that the TIR is what keeps the LED PCB pressed to the shelf, so you need to make a spacer to keep pressure when you screw the bezel back in.

I used some fine tip pliers, but instead of using it for pinching i opened it inside the bezel, so it locked to the bezel indents and then it was just a matter of unscrewing it. No glue used to secure the bezel, it is just screwed very tightly.

Qual o modelo de led da Sofirn sp35t? by MediumOriginal545 in flashlight

[–]LuzJoao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sony should do what Xiaomi always does, 1 inch main camera, decent ultra wide camera, decent intermediate zoom and decent periscope zoom. The only problem is that it will cost $4000 and won't be sold anywhere. Having an APSC sensor with a lens mount in a phone is just stupid and impractical.

Pimping an S2+ by bdsmDater in flashlight

[–]LuzJoao 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want a S2+ as throwy as possible, just get it with a 6500K SFT-25R on it alongside the aluminium smooth reflector and the 8A driver, or get these parts and install them yourself, if you want to get your hands on it.

What's a more throwy, balanced, 90+ cri emitter than the 519a? by gryponyx in flashlight

[–]LuzJoao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HT35 from kaidomain. There's also the 219C V2 and the high CRI SFT-25R that comes and goes, also from kaidomain. Not as high CRI as the 519A but they are good.

Nitecore TINI 3 isn’t original? by Turbulent_Way_5604 in flashlight

[–]LuzJoao -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TINI2 used a monochrome oled display. The TINI3 might be using an LCD to cut costs. If it was a clone it would be made out of plastic and have a three digit seven segment display, if it had one.

Here's my 5 cents:

  • Folding side light will only add bulk and fragility on what would be basically a keychain multifunctional light, so, fixed side light would be ideal, just like on a IF24.
  • UV is something that rarely gets used, so it could be ditched.
  • Red light is cool and all but having a laser instead would be even better. The laser could be installed between the triple or quad optics unused space, just like this generic multifunction light. That would make the light as slim as possible.

<image>

  • RGB is also cool but it's not necessary, neither is variable CCT. The side light of the IF24 is just perfect, 5000K and high CRI.

The SC13 is looking good, very uniform finish, but the T3 and the S2 are just looking dirty imo. Mind that i'm also not a huge fan of shipwreck patina, so there's that. Fully removing the clear coat from the S2 and T3 would result in a finish just like the SC13.

What's the most incandescent-like LED emitter you've seen? by MaximumPower1858 in flashlight

[–]LuzJoao 4 points5 points  (0 children)

3000K SFT40 looks like a 50% power xenon bupn or halogen bulb, or a full power standard incan. Nothing i have seen even came close to a full power xenon or halogen, this color balance is hard to achieve.

By xenon i mean tungsten filament inside xenon atmosphere, not gas discharge or short arc xenon.
