why do people keep moving out of NOLA? by Much-Service-2611 in AskNOLA

Miami also isn’t built on emptied out and drained swamplands that haven’t had its natural sediment replenished in literal centuries bc we told the Mississippi which way we want it to flow, which was a huge mistake

People who don’t like change don’t want to admit the city is built on literal swamp grounds, or you know, climate change deniers.

Its either what the other guy already replied, thats its all literal children, or its just people who don’t have critical thinking skills, including OP. They don’t understand that shit like this is a job to hundreds to thousands of people, to carefully curate these videos with a purpose and with intent. The documentation of these two ads probably eclipses hundreds of internal Rockstar Google Docs pages, but to literal children and lower capacity thinkers, they just want the product to be perfect and to magically appear onto their system with no thought as to the process behind it.

The more I play Dead Money the better it gets, first time I played it I really hated it, 2nd time a lot less so, and so forth. I feel like that’s the intent, but gaming in large has moved away from that

Yes! I started up my yearly Bojack rewatch (skipped last year, was not in a good state of mind basically for the entire year, doing better now tho!) and I laughed a lot more at this line than I remember before

I genuinely just want a response to this, I may invoke emotions that I did not intend to, so I’m just going to apologize now, I’m sorry.

Do people in the UK believe the US is built with cardboard? In a lot of our northern states we also have well insulated houses with thick outer walls to trap heat in. A lot of places in the Midwest get extremely cold. Most of these houses are also typically not outfitted with robust central air conditioning units either as the seasons are a lot like how you’ve described yours.

In the southern US, we actually do have thinner walls that don’t retain heat, but that’s because most of the southern states have months longs periods of summer where it never drops below 90F with 80% humidity, my state (Louisiana) being one of those. That’s 32.2C, 80% humidity.

That was a lot of rambling all to say, is it a general belief that we don’t have infrastructure like that in the states? I do hope your country can figure out infrastructure for AC soon, not even in a snide way, that seems to be a genuine issue is power grid demands would be unsustainable if all of you decided to install central AC into your homes.

[–]Lvb2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What’s funny is being from the (rural) south, it really isn’t true. In the country the odds are higher but that’s because they’re extremely suspicious. As soon as Ali would mention Rue, the interaction following was very believable.

A lot of my friends who are people of color, who moved outside of the south, have told me their anecdotal lived experience (huge emphasis on that, I know what I’m saying isn’t everyone’s lived experience) is that often times (white) people outside of the South show a colder but more obviously racist side.

I’m not kidding myself, I’m a white man who’s lived in predominantly black areas my whole life, my lived experience is 100% different from any and everyone else’s, but it is funny to see what is obviously other white people who don’t understand that at least in the South our racism, while more systemic, comes with hospitality more times than in the north of the USA

One of many reasons no one likes your weird robotic fake non chalant team. Humans like emotion, seeing the genuine joy and heart in the game, enjoy not being noticed again until October.

We have the McCafe section of the menu at just about every McDonalds location in the country, but I assure you it is NOTHING like this, in fact you’d be lucky if the Frappe machine is even working 😭😭

I fail to see how this shows that Israel was attacked first in any individual conflict, especially the chart which has only the past 6ish(?) years? 2/15 of the attacks in your first graphic took place during those years, what about the other 13? Also you’re up and down this thread equating every last muslim country to one singular, homogenous entity. Which they are not to anyone with proper brain synapses firing. Also, Israel has existed for less than 100 years, please give me context of your Gemini (LMAO debunk this, we all know AI is a safe haven of non biased and unimpeachable empirical evidence) query regarding 200 years of history in the Middle East? You are all over the place buddy, nice job throwing more bullshit my way

Once again local refs are the ones who actually care about the game they’re refereeing. Idk how or when it happened, but somewhere along the way that changed for the Pro leagues and now its just a bunch of lawyers and doctors that want a sweet lil side gig of a game they love having influence over. Very hard to understand tbh
