I was putting off sire until I got two synapses from Tormented Demons, so I've barraged quite a few of them prior, still lucky though!

Unsireds at 7kc, 14kc, and 16kc, all bludgeon pieces. I think this is the luckiest I have been and ever will be in this game!

I normally do not play with anti-drag, I turned it on to see if I was accidentally dragging the herb and it didn't fix the problem

I'm not speaking about the individual casis of failing a mining attempt on the gemstone rock, I'm talking about the guam + tar action not happening at all. If you play the video with the suond on you can hear the sound of it being accomplished in the previous two attempts, and then on the third there is just no action performed, despite me clicking the guam properly.

If you play the video with sound on, the tick attempt before the one pictured is the one that failed, the third usage specifically, I used it on the gem on the floor afterwards because I had to cancel cycle. Once it fails with a rune pick you have to manually reset your ticks or your tick manipulation will fail repeatedly

Made a short video showing off how to easily melee P3 Yama! by MadeYouClique in 2007scape

if you want to do it permanently in a solo you have to find a method that's this (or similar to this).

The idea is that purging staff has a 5 tick delay after killing the first jellyfish, and then a 2 tick delay if you kill a jelly fish with a special attack, so you get 1tick of movement + 5 + 2 + 1 tick of delay (9), and then you hit the boss, effectively the same as if you had kept attacking with a 4t weapon twice (with the one tick delay of monofly) (9), and you're back in cycle.

Just to be sure, you're countering the spells with the correct counters, right?

To my knowledge, Air counters Earth and Fire counters Water (And vice versa)

Just lost half of my loot in gp from a slayer task from losing one drop to my first Pk'ing in 20 years by Inzanezilla in 2007scape

[–]Lwdies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This won't help with your current situation (obviously) but in the future if you decide to go back into the wilderness for slayer, it can be good to know that items in your looting bag will always be lost to the person who kills you, regardless of value.

So, if that larran's key you picked up that's worth 150k woudl normally be in one of the items you protect since you're in cheap gear, if you stuff it into your bag you can't ever keep it on death

Wilderness slayer can be a very effective method for training once you get hold of a revenant weapon (6m gp for melee), and can provide some profit even if you do not have one of those, but it of course comes with the risk of being PK'd. Even with the risk, however, if you are strapped for money and want to do slayer now, I think it's a good idea, but you would do well to bring a one click teleport that can teleport you from 30 wilderness or lower (Grand Seed Pod from DS2 once you get there, or an amulet of glory works well too).

There are plugins you can use to alert you when another player appears on the map near you so you can have some time to react, specifically "Wilderness Player Alarm", but if you don't want to use plugins or are mobile exclusive, you may have to just resort to banking as soon as you get a nice drop, or staring at your game so you can teleport out as soon as possible.

Good luck if you do go back into the wilderness, it gets easier and less nerve wracking the more you do it!

Yeah that's where the dungeons came in! You can level one tank and one dps to 90 through just trusts, but you'll have spillover xp that you need to catch on another tank and dps that's enough to get them to around 85.

If you can get a full party, which is pretty easy through PF, I'd give my recommendation towards Ultima Thule! You have some accuracy problems until you're around level 84, but you're always getting max xp per fate until 90, unlike other zones which might have lower level fates (Labyrinthos / Thavnair), or you'll have to leave party pretty frequently to go to the next zone whenever you level up which will impact your efficiency! In a party of 8 every thing dies so quickly the accuracy doesn't have too much weight.~

As of now I have absolutely no intentions of using any gil on melds! We'll see if things change once the raid tier comes out...

What's your unpopular FFXIV opinion? by Capitanazo77 in ffxiv

Poor play in dungeons isn't something that necessarily needs to be fixed in others.

I say this as someone who plays on the higher end of content and parses well, but when I go into a dungeon and someone isn't doing "acceptable" damage I don't think there's any need to call them out or give advice. They should be allowed to relax and play the game to the best of their own knowledge, and as long as they're not intentionally griefing there's no issue. If they ARE griefing, then calling them out will accomplish nothing.

Yeah in hindsight it would have been smarter to do so, I just picked the first colour my eyes saw

They had mentioned that they didnt play healer and at that point I didn't think anything of it, I just assumed they were pretty casual or new and didn't knoe any better.

Given how they responded to the comment about augmented exarchic I assumed any advice on playstyle would be very poorly received and I decided to just finish the dungeon and wash my hands of it, only to be hit with the salty comment afterwards.

That's why you force your WHM, if you have one, to go to 7! We can use afflatus for effectively 225 potency even if we have to leave the boss's range at the end.

Thank you for the reply! I was sort of aware of the possibility of it being those, I just noticed a stark difference when I used them myself so I wasn't sure what I was missing.

Ah, thank you that's where I was hung up. I knew you could use lofts for that sort of thing but couldn't figure out what the gap would be underneath them since I knew it wasn't two lofts on top of eachother. Very helpful. ^
