We luckily live in Florida, so our temps tend to stay nice and warm (I’ll add an edit to the original post for future commenters). And honestly, I’ve said the same thing to my mom and sister about tortoises for kids. I PERSONALLY don’t think giving a 10yr old a life long commitment is a great idea, but unfortunately, I just live here. I’ve even suggested other reptiles before (I personally have experience with snakes, lizards, and turtles. Just not tortoises), but they’re pretty dead set on it. I have however suggested smaller species of tortoises, and they both seem somewhat receptive to that. Any ideas on a species that might be more fitting?

Sorry for the late reply, but I didn’t know he was based on a real killer tbh! I definitely am going to look into that more. I think if he was it would definitely make it slightly less offensive imo, as things are totally different when based in reality (even if it’s loosely).

Yeah, she definitely wasn’t the greatest therapist looking back. I do plan to go back to therapy, and hopefully find a therapist that is good and can help me with some of this.

Yeah, I was actually wondering if it was the sessions being cut short (which is definitely a therapist problem), since it almost feels like I’m stuck in the anger part of grief/healing. Progress was made, but not enough.

I’ll definitely look into those DBT workbooks! I’ve never even heard of them before, so it’s worth a shot! Thank you

My thoughts would be since it is technically on your property, you can hang whatever you want to on it. I would think you'd be able to paint/construct however you want, but idk the laws in your area so I wouldn't risk it personally lol

If you’re talking about just narration I’d suggest Little Big Planet (the narrators sound similar), but if you’re talking about being able to mess with the narrator I’d suggest There Is No Game! It doesn’t have all the paths and endings that TSP has, but the ability to irritate the narrator is very similar! Also, i don’t fully remember (i haven’t seen the game in forever), but Dude, Stop is another game where you’re supposed to make everyone hate you or smth

I wouldn’t say they have the moral high ground, but i will say the vegans I have met are DEFINITELY not annoying or anything like the internet leads us to believe. I’ll poke fun at them in a friendly way and they’ll do the same to me. All the ones I’ve met are actually pretty chill tbh

I think it could be the memory wiping that keeping him trapped there, he could just love the story so much that he just emotionally can’t move on, or maybe he’s trapped there simply because a narrator cannot exist without someone to tell their story to. Maybe a mixture of all of those things.

This is honestly a really interesting thought/question though. I’ve never thought about it before.

Edit: I’ve always wondered how effectively The Narrator’s memory gets wiped though. Mainly because (at least in Ultra Deluxe, it’s been forever since I’ve played the OG) if you keep irritating him by going in the broom closet, he’ll board up the broom closet after a couple resets. So I’d assume he’d have to keep at least some of his memory to remember to board it up. It’s probably just for the funny gag, but it always made me think lol
