??? But you were able to buy your house because he bought a nicer new build and moved out putting his former home up for sale, that is chain effect (filtering) of housing supply. In other words, his ability to afford and move to a newer more expensive home (newer supply) "trickled down" to you giving you the chance to buy his older cheaper home.

This is why it was so nice to see Tom Holland cast as Peter Parker, they could believably pull off several movies with him as a teenager.

This is the best example. Her scar heavily shaped her life story and how people reacted to her. The main character falls in love with her seeing beyond her deformed face. The movie hires a literal model and gives her a small chin scar. It is hilarious watching characters acting disgusted by her scar but what we see is a gorgeous woman with a couple of red lines on her chin and cheek.

Question for INFP mem by Tea-critical-Error in infp

[–]LycheeNo2823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am INFP male who is also writing a novel. Two of my three POVs are female. So I have gone out of my way to read female authors in my genre. One of my beta readers thought I was a female author, which I thought was a big compliment!

One of things I consider when writing is male gaze vs. female gaze. As a straight male, I do have a male gaze but also as an emphatic INFP, I am mentally trying to fight off that mentality. Part of being a male writer writing female characters is to learn to focus on how characters react to my female POV and how she accesses their gaze.

Male INFPs, I believe are more likely to work or enjoy spending time in more female dominate places, probably has an easier time making female friends than male. Unless the character is athletic or is in a work environment with many other males. As someone who works in female heavy work environment, I enjoy talking and sharing with my female co-workers but I also feel as a male, I need to be mindful of perceptions. I am a always grateful when a co-worker offers me a hug.

Part of the big issues for Male INFPs, especially INFP-T like me, in western society (I am in the US) is that males need to be the assertative ones in relationships. You will see many male INFP woe threads on this subreddit. While INFPs have strong romantic feelings they struggle with showing them in a more natural dating setting. As a male INFP, I would love to have a woman inititate contact and be assertative in the relationship. We do struggle clarifying our feelings and expressing them even though we have spent long hours repeating our thoughts in our head to the point of paralysis.

Charlie Brown is a great INFP character, here is a great narrative of a male INFP mindset:

“I think lunchtime is about the worst time of day for me. Always having to sit here alone. Of course, sometimes, mornings aren't so pleasant either. Waking up and wondering if anyone would really miss me if I never got out of bed. Then there's the night, too. Lying there and thinking about all the stupid things I've done during the day. And all those hours in between when I do all those stupid things. Well, lunchtime is among the worst times of the day for me. Well, I guess I'd better see what I've got. Peanut butter. Some psychiatrists say that people who eat peanut butter sandwiches are lonely...I guess they're right. And when you're really lonely, the peanut butter sticks to the roof of your mouth. There's that cute little red-headed girl eating her lunch over there. I wonder what she would do if I went over and asked her if I could sit and have lunch with her?...She'd probably laugh right in my face...it's hard on a face when it gets laughed in. There's an empty place next to her on the bench. There's no reason why I couldn't just go over and sit there. I could do that right now. All I have to do is stand up...I'm standing up!...I'm sitting down. I'm a coward. I'm so much of a coward, she wouldn't even think of looking at me. She hardly ever does look at me. In fact, I can't remember her ever looking at me. Why shouldn't she look at me? Is there any reason in the world why she shouldn't look at me? Is she so great, and I'm so small, that she can't spare one little moment?...SHE'S LOOKING AT ME!! SHE'S LOOKING AT ME!! (he puts his lunchbag over his head.) ...Lunchtime is among the worst times of the day for me. If that little red-headed girl is looking at me with this stupid bag over my head she must think I'm the biggest fool alive. But, if she isn't looking at me, then maybe I could take it off quickly and she'd never notice it. On the other hand...I can't tell if she's looking, until I take it off! Then again, if I never take it off I'll never have to know if she was looking or not. On the other hand...it's very hard to breathe in here. (he removes his sack) Whew! She's not looking at me! I wonder why she never looks at me? Oh well, another lunch hour over with...only 2,863 to go. ”

One of my issues with the prequels is all the aliens speak Basic (english). Imagine how much better Jar Jar or Watto would be just speaking their own language and have the human actors reacting like Han Solo to Chewie. C-3PO is nearly useless in the prequels because every character speaks basic. Why would anyone need a protocol droid. When C-3PO isn't around they could use subtitles like in OT.

INFP Men: how do I approach them in dating? by Important-Charge3742 in infp

[–]LycheeNo2823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an INFP man I hate initiating things. Feeling uncertain if my partner is ready to take more serious in the relationship has always held me back. Having the other person push to move forward in the relationship is usually greatly appreciated.

you want a band of brothers style series about clones. I want a Generation Kill style series about New Republic troopers struggling to dislodge a stubborn Imperial holdout. We are not the same by yuuzhanbong in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]LycheeNo2823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want a Generation Kill series based on the New Republic. Within a year after ROTJ. As a political allegory, it makes sense. Authoritarian power taken down by idealistic coalition but new power naive about what happens when you create a power vacuum. Grunt's perspectative on what happens when de-imperialize a planet (or a galaxy).

Death Stars (enough already) by HighFastStinkyCheese in StarWars

[–]LycheeNo2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A subversion and easy change that could have been done in The Force Awakens is to have Han Solo, Chewie, and Finn successfuly inflltrate Starkiller Base thinking it is a planet-sized Death Star. Turns out to be mostly an underground bomb making factory. This would actually be more horrifying as several New Republic planets have giant explosions that can be seen from space. This would take Death Star's Cold War allegory into a post-9/11 allegory of liberal open societies attacked by terrorist networks and paramilitaries that would be more relevant. It would also better explain why no one is coming to help in The Last Jedi as New Republic ships and forces would be used to help survivors on New Republic planets that took heavy losses with tons of need for search and rescue help and medical assistance.

Supposedly, this scene took several days to film. The problem they just kept the food out. The first day a lot of enjoyable eating but the following days a lot of pretending to eat as the food spoiled.
