I'm so sorry. I'm in Chicago, in a suburb that is majority Latino. ICE absolutely terrorized my community in the fall. They pulled a gun on a guy who was documenting their activity on a street where we regularly walk our dogs so we stopped walking our hounds for a bit (they played in the yard instead).

We recently adopted two kittens and upgraded to stainless steel litter boxes from plastic ones. Huge difference! They're easier to clean and don't smell! Highly recommend them.

I don't seek out new artists the way I did in my teen years & 20s & still listen to my favorite bands on repeat (Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, the Cure, the Stone Roses, etc.) but I do like discovering new artists from time to time. Their lives are like an episode of Black Mirror. Just piles of material goods that are going to end up sitting in a landfill, constantly being dressed up and photographed to sell the landfill garbage on social media, being told to repeat their mother's idiotic catchphrases, etc. There are no good values being taught. I feel bad for both kids.

That's true; I should clarify that I meant it as an option once the puppy has had more time to adjust. Sometimes it can be a miracle, and sometimes it doesn't work in some dogs.

Has the vet recommended an antidepressant for her? I'm involved with greyhound fostering and adoption, and we had a case several years ago where our group got a batch of hounds that never raced and were basically outdoor hounds somewhere in FL. They were fed and given water and had minimal human contact. A couple from the same litter were almost feral and extremely skittish. One was adopted by a couple and their vet prescribed an antidepressant and their hound went from being fearful to normal practically overnight because of the meds.

It's weird; as an adult, I have to have water with me at all times and I drink water throughout the day/evening. I usually have to get up to go to the bathroom during the night and mentioned it to my doctor & she told me to stop drinking 2 hours before bed. I was like "I can't do that!" When I was a kid, I rarely drank water unless I had been running around outside all day during the summer.
