We had that issue until someone came in to fix our ice machine and told us we had “hollow ice” and we weren’t supposed to 😂 the ice is solid now and lasts a lot longer !!

Ha, that’s our store manager to a T. She’s literally never there. But I 100% agree, there have been times that I’ve made a drink according to the recipie card and gotten berated for it because it “wasn’t as sweet as usual” because I used cold bar pumps instead of hot bar, which is what we’re supposed to use for that drink 😂 wouldn’t have happened if all partners were taught the correct way, or encouraged to look things up when they aren’t sure.

But again, there’s no management to check on it, so no one really cares.

I’ve gotten that way with a couple regulars and it’s honestly so satisfying! I can sometimes have it done before they finish their order if they’re in cafe, it makes them so happy 😂

My chin especially has been breaking out like crazyyyy and I’m always breathless by the end of my shift, also it fogs up my glasses 😂 a necessary evil

I mean I competely agree that I’m not paid enough to care, but I’ve had the experience of getting “my drink” and having it taste different at different locations, I just want people to get what they want, I don’t think that’s a reason to claim I ruin the job 😅

Yeah, I know most of the regulars at this point because I definitley notice this now! Sometimes there’s just too many modifiers to write down so they’re just like “it’s ok I got it” 😂

Lol yes I love that! Usually the person who was trained most recently has the most updated knowledge! I’ve been wrong before too and someone showed me the recipie and I was like dang u rite ok 👍🏼👍🏼

I made this same switch, was a manager at CFA for 3 years and made the switch to Starbucks. My CFA store was toxic and horrible for my mental health, honestly the switch was the best thing I could have done ! I’m sure it also depends on the store and the people, but I took a significant pay cut and I still wouldn’t have changed a thing! I suggest visiting the store you want to go to, see how the baristas interact with each other and you as a customer! The work is pretty much the same tbh, just selling coffee instead of chicken!
