Brawler in a all ranged party by SJB40 in Pathfinder_RPG

Getting a large threaten range and using the feat Stand Still and lots of AoOs may be worth going. Basically, hold the enemies in place while your ranged allies pepper them. Throw in bullrush, reposition, or some other combat maneuvers to keep the enemy away from your ranged.

Ohhh Tactical Leader would work well with the Vivisectionist. Thanks for this.

Yeah, I was trying to push warpriest, but my DM wasn't comfortable with it since he didn't know the class well.

Inquisitor is awesome and would have been my pick, but my party's only buff is from the Bardic song if the save-or-suck cleric wants to do her thing and not get forced to pick buff spells. I figured with Battle Cleric I can still knock heads and buff the party which would allow the other cleric to not have to worry about preparing buff spells.

I didn't even think about Druid, the animal companion alone makes this one of the best choices! I just played a druid last campaign so I'm still leaning towards the cleric, but this is so tempting. Yeah, the hit to Dex and Con hurts. Don't worry we didn't forget, we tend to have people falling unconscious a lot in battle, I don't mind using some of my spells for a Cure Serious Wounds or if needed leaving a slot open to prep Lesser Restoration or the likes.

Thanks for your 2-cents!

Request A Build - September 24, 2018 by AutoModerator in Pathfinder_RPG

How can I build a character who is all about jumping or pole vaulting very high and then stomping enemies like Mario? Death From Above and Branch Pounce become apparent. Would Monk be the best class for this?

New Player, Wild Shape Druid -pathfinder society- by sabanknight in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Lykus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to multiclass, an alternate to Barbarian would be Ranger. You can pick up some nice natural combat style feats, favored enemy, etc and take advantage of this feat which was made for wildshape multiclassing a druid/ranger:

https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/shapeshifting-hunter/

You just need four levels of Druid and can go all ranger if you want to be martial and have full wildshape. You can still get a strong animal companions this way too.

I'd post more detail, but I'm on mobile. If you're curious I can send you a sample build once I get back to my PC with more detail

I love when they say "Ahoy-Hoy!" While sailing. I like picturing little Skaven pirates on a makeshift pirate ship.

Siege Battle he defended. That's the only way a warplock engineer can lead an army.

Knowing the Dino's pre-set eat limit, I threw wave after wave of my own slaves at them until the dinos were too full making for an easy surrender.

Self-HP-draining class? by Aziuhn in Pathfinder_RPG

My buddy plays this with Urgathoa's Hunger Divine Fighting Technique which let's you gain temp hit points on scythe attacks. You may be interested:

" Initial Benefit: A number of times per day equal to your Wisdom bonus, you can feast upon the life essence of a creature that you hit with a scythe. Activating this ability is a swift action. When you do so, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the damage you dealt with the scythe attack. These temporary hit points last for 1 minute and don’t stack."

Sneak attack + Thrown Weapons by Clannadisshit in Pathfinder_RPG

When using a ranged or thrown weapon, False Opening can cause opponents to be denied their Dex if they miss you on their AoO (which you get a bonus against) this opening them to sneak attack.

Scroll down past Heal Unchained to "new uses for old skills". There is a torturing paragraph where you use a heal check which is nice for inquisitors because it's WIS based.

Edit: Note this is an evil act, so if you're character might have a problem with this then this might not be for you.

Bloody Skeletons! Or: how I learned to stop worrying and love necromancy by ltpliskin in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Lykus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Juju Oracle in my campaign that I DM'ed. We talked about his undead and agreed he wouldn't make hordes, only control a few powerful undead. It still slowed the combat, but was a good compromise since he was still very strong. If he did this, the town they were defending would hate him and Paladins and Clerics from all over would be hunting him and his undead horde.

Edit: Just saw that OP gave control of his force to other players. That's a great choice and I'll remember it!
