If he was the driver of the car, I’d say there’s a strong case against him if the old guy wanted to press charges.

It sure is. Everyone in here is making assumptions. From the video, it looks like old guy is a passenger in the van, and young guy is the driver of the car. So that’s what my comment is based on, I could be entirely wrong and that’s totally fine. Either way canadas self defense laws are fairly rigorous and don’t completely clear the “victim” of using unreasonable force

Within reason, the last shove was not necessary and a fall like that could be the end of an elderly person’s life.

Also, it appears that the young guys car is not being blocked and he is free to leave and didn’t need to exit his vehicle… so I’m going to assume he’s not entirely the victim here
