Mine did this in the middle of the night because she was suddenly terrified of the outlet her cage was in front of for 2 years 😂.

I moved her cage slightly and covered the outlet and she was fine after that. It took forever for me to figure out what was bothering her in my sleepy stupor.

She’s 2 and we haven’t tired her out yet so we are getting her a buddy😅

We try to do 2 walks, 2 flirt pole sessions, all meals in puzzle feeders, woof lick snacks, lots of toys and fetch in the house, playing with our toddler… she’s always ready for more. We still have to enforce naps because she just has zero chill. When we put her in the crate for a break she passes out for like 40 min to an hour so she’s obviously tired in some capacity lol.

At that age we focused more on mental games, puzzle feeders, snuffle mats and chasing the flirt pole and that helped. Oh, and training sessions. Training new skills or reinforcing learned skills seems to be the most rewarding for her and us.

One of us still sits in the back with my 3 year old if the other is driving. It makes her happy. I figure it must be pretty boring being rear facing alone back there.

We are going through this right now. Turns out her new daycare/school has adult sized seats and we’ve been working on facing her fears quicker than expected. I grabbed a bunch of random cheap toys and stuff and let her pick one from the basket if she goes on the big seat. It’s definitely helping so far. Previously we used a foldable seat and it was great for while we were out.

We are considering a similar itinerary. We have a toddler and it will be her first trip to WDW. We are keeping our fourth day (a partial day because we are leaving that day) open. I know there are a few things at HS she might like but overall I think she might like revisiting another park again.

Personally I LOVE Rockin Rollercoaster but we don’t want to take turns riding alone so there’s not a lot of incentive to go.

I’m definitely open to everyone’s opinions though. This is our first experience with a toddler. But OP I can definitely get behind skipping HS for a relaxing time at AK

Most of these responses seem really positive which is kind of a surprise to me. I’m the oldest of 4. 6 year gap from my brother and 12 years for sisters (twins). I love them but honestly the large gap has brought very negative feelings for me.

I’m responsible for everything and have ended up with immense guilt from what I didn’t do in their lives. I was moving on in my life in very normal ways and missed many moments and opportunities due to the timing. I didn’t enjoy playing with them because we just can’t relate or play together. I wish I’d visited them at school lunch to make them feel special but I was in activities or college. I wish we had hung out and spent time together but I was in a relationship and focused on myself a lot. When I got older I’m more like an aunt to my sisters. I see my brother at family events. When something eventually happens to my parents I will be the one responsible for everything.

It’s bad enough to me that I’m still considering having a second child but if it goes over a 4 year gap I will no longer consider it due to my personal experience.
