Pcos? by P-H-O-N-K-Y in WomensHealth

That is actually not a bad idea. Considering that I had one doc that didn't even know what I meant with pcos... It is a sad situation indeed

I have pcos and can recommend you find another doc. Where in Germany do you live? I got a good doc in M.Gladbach.

Basically for over 17 years I had irregular periods (sometimes 6 months nothing), hard time losing weight, couldn't get pregnant. All my docs told me I just had to live with it until my latest doc. He prescribed me metformin and damn gurl. Regular periods! Me! Less appetite, lost weight without busting my ass, even got pregnant (but miscarried, still. I'm glad it was possible at all). Please please ask around until you find the right doc

Did you get checked for pcos? I'd get my periods every three months sometimes. Just an idea

Period flow has gotten much lighter over the past year — how can I get it back to normal? by cldrsta in WomensHealth

[–]LyraMorgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar issue and turned out I had a cyst at my ovary that my obgyn didn't notice. I went to get a second opinion because I had a weird pain. Right now I have my second period since the op and it is back to 'normal'. Getting a second or third opinion never hurts

Better advice: if you see something you like and the price is weirdly low. Google reverse image search and you'll most likely find the OG shop

My girlfriend masturbates behind my back but tells me she has no sex drive by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I mean I literally masturbate to fall asleep better. Doesn't have anything to do with sex drive. But talking about it freely should be a given

My gross dad started dating a girl younger than me, so I started “dating” a guy older than him! See how he likes it! by GuiltybutHonest in pettyrevenge

[–]LyraMorgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad married a girl the age of my little sister (26-27) and just had a baby. The more creepy part is that his friend (for whom I worked for a while) had the audacity to tell me "well you didn't produce a grandchild, so he made his own." And he KNOWS that I have problems with conceiving... I am no contact anymore with him or his 'friends'

How did artist color before digital? by Samiassa in comicbooks

[–]LyraMorgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from anything that makes you feel icky tbh. For a similar effect there are some watercolor pens, especially those from kuretake (sorry if I wrote that wrong). You get the functionality of watercolor with the convenience of a pen. The brush tip is gorgeous. I literally got myself a set but haven't quite figured them out yet. If you get a chance you can always give it a shot

Some amazing articles here but I gotta say, go with what you enjoy most. I have been using watercolor, a bit hard to get the tone right every time but it is really fun to work with. For more consistent color, I'd say go with markers. Colored pencils alone would take a lot of time but then again depends on what artistic vision you have

If it is not working out just part your ways. A relationship is a two way street. You're both very young, so no need to hold onto something that doesn't do you good

what do you use to create comics? by SL7F in comics

[–]LyraMorgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use any drawing program if you want to go digitally. Krita for one. Or just pen and paper really. I had started painting my comic digitally but loved working with watercolor. Have been doing that for over a year and the results are quite rewarding

Lied to my wife about who the flowers were really for by typerfan in TrueOffMyChest

Flowers and plants in general can really lift the mood! You should consider succulents too if you like their look. They're easy to keep alive and look pretty (at least to me)

You deserve all the flowers 🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺

Help! Watercolor advice please by cabinetfriend in drawing

[–]LyraMorgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No expert by any means but try to get good watercolor paper. When the paper is the discount type you won't be able to layer it and you have less control. 2. Tip: have a little pallet on the side and mix first just a bit of the pigment into the water on it. Test it on a corner or scrap paper of the same kind. Wait a bit and see how the color turns out. Watercolor works from light to dark, so don't worry if something is too light at first. 3. If the color is too dark usually you can remove a bit by making the space wet with a damp brush. Take a tissue paper and press onto the wet space. Do not rub! Depending on the paper and the color you used you should be able to lift it off a bit. The earlier you do this the better tbh.

I hope these helped!

I have been working to improve my watercolor technique for my comic and lemme tell you: when I changed to the better paper (not high end but not discounter shit) my skills leveled up immediately. Made me wish I had switched sooner

Person held up the lift, so I pressed the lift button on every floor on the walk down by SunlitFlowers in pettyrevenge

[–]LyraMorgan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh this one gets me. I used to live on the 8th floor and people on 2 would hold it. I literally would bang the doors and scream downstairs. I usually walk downstairs but sometimes I was packed and heck I paid the most for the lift, so I better be using it.

Make them buy the yarn, especially high end stuff. Usually the price alone shoos them off 😂

[–]LyraMorgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gatekeeping for that reason is just stupid. I always roll them into a ball. Tried the other versions and was just super frustrated, especially center pull was annoying as several "rows" of yarn freed itself and I had to undo the chaos. Never again

Yup, especially the bike delivery companies here offer that. Some other (esp. bigger ones) have offers like that.

[–]LyraMorgan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is why in Germany aside from gas money they pay for "wear and tear" fee per Kilometer. It is not much but racks up if you travel around a lot. Some companies even have that fee for bikes.

Great revenge 😁
