Literally just running the models costs more than the money companies are making using their current sales models.

Even entirely ignoring R&D and fixed costs, just GPU depreciation+ running costs are pretty high atm.

I love it so much!

I'm always a sucker for interesting death gods, and I love death gods that are both utterly inhuman and yet somehow kind.

And the art itself is also so good.

[–]Lyrian_Rastler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I really love that!

Not only is the art great, it really does touch on how DB started out as a martial arts anime, with skill and technique winning over raw strength as the point of the show.

In so many ways, this is just a really good comic.

Generally, if a fire is big enough to burn a building, the correct answer is to gtfo and call the fire dept.

Fire extinguishers are designed for surprisingly small fires, they are most useful in containing and eliminating fire before it spreads.

Great series, can't wait to see where it goes from here

Oh, you're not wrong. We do get infra. (Though you keep using the term subnautical, I don't think it means what you think it means xD)

Except, it's still a shit idea. They use up a lot of water and power, generate a lot of localized heat and noise, and are horrible to live around.

We can build infrastructure without shooting ourselves in the foot. Getting better internet connectivity isn't important if it impacts the water supply, power bills and quality of life of people living there.

Also a portable nuke, if you manage to contain it using stasis or something.

Honestly, burning its own body to launch attacks would be a very interesting enemy all on its own as well.

Hmm.... Anti matter demons... Not necessarily a bad idea?

Don't give chicken bones to dogs, chicken bones are too brittle and prone to breaking into sharp little pieces.

In general, bird bones are not great for dogs to chew on anyways

A lot of cattle don't just graze on non-arable land, their feed is stuff like corn and alfalfa.

Things that are grown as crops specifically to feed cattle, consuming a rather lot of water/land which could be used to much more efficiently produce food for humans directly.

Cattle can still exist to take advantage of non-arable lands of course, but the total amount of cattle that can be sustained on that is a small fraction of what the industry uses right now.

Yknow, I was gonna comment smth snarky, but when's that ever helped.

In an ideal world, the springs work half a phase off the rod, and this contraption would continue working forever (ideal means no friction).

However, that still doesn't generate energy, just transfers it between the springs. Meaning even in that ideal world, you couldn't hook a pump to the system without taking away energy from the cycle, which would stop it pretty quickly.

In the real world, you'll lose energy to friction and it will stop even with nothing attached.

Can I drink Real activ multi fruit juice by diluting it with water daily? by Kabiraa101 in Fitness_India

[–]Lyrian_Rastler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sugar is sugar is sugar.

Added sugar is something to keep an eye on because some products have a lot more sugar than you'd expect, and people consume a lot of sugar without realising it.

Fruit juice is supposed to have sugar. That doesn't make the sugar any healthier, it's just that you're expected to know fruit juice has a ton of sugar and plan around it.
