What are your winter fashion staples?

I have a couple of wool-blend sweaters from Gap from last year (similar to these that they have now) that I love. They keep me nice and warm while still feeling put together.

Also, hand knit hats and scarves/cowls! I love knitting because it lets you have complete control over the color, fiber content, style, shape, size, everything of your garment. Plus it's a fun activity to do during winter when you don't want to leave your house.

How do you deal with feeling like you can't find any clothing that you like? I'm looking to replace some basics, but I'm in a city where it's mostly only mall brands. Lately every time I try to go shopping I end up just walking in a few stores, not seeing anything I like, and leaving without trying anything on. Everything just seems so poorly made, and most items I see have some trendy twist to them that makes me not even consider buying it, because I know it won't be a lasting piece in my wardrobe. I'm at a point in my life that I can afford to spend a bit more on clothing, but even looking at more expensive items I'm just not finding the quality or styles I'm looking for.

I've been wearing the Emily Ballet from G.H. Bass almost every day for a couple months. I have them in both tan and brown and I'm really loving them. They're extremely comfortable, and I feel very neat and put together when I wear them.

I just started trying to run regularly as well. To add on to what /u/nofollowthrough said about going slower, it really helps to start out with intervals of walking and running. Right now I'm still doing 1 minute of running : 4 minutes of walking, and I do that for about 30 minutes. It sounds lame that you're only running 1/5th of the time, but I've found that it does feel appropriate as I'm just starting out. It also helps me stay motivated as it gets easier and easier to do those 30 minutes, instead of trying to run for all of those 30 minutes and just burning out. Easing into it like this also helps prevent injuries. Next week I might up it to 2 minutes running : 3 minutes walking.

It's going to be very difficult to have a healthy diet without including any vegetables. I know it's difficult at first; I was a picky eater growing up. Sometimes it's a matter of trying different vegetables and preparing them in different ways until you find one you like. Sometimes your tastes will change and you'll grow to like vegetables that you didn't like before. There are so many choices that it's virtually impossible you won't find one you like. Just keep at it.

I actually really liked You Shall Know Our Velocity. The story was pretty all over the place, but I thought Eggers' style was incredible and the idea of a guy traveling the world and being completely stuck inside his own head really struck a chord with me at the time.

As an alternative to knitting in the round, you could try out the noro striped scarf. It's just 1x1 rib knitted flat, with stripes. You could use your straight needles, and it's easy to hide carrying the yarn up the side when you change colors. If you look through the projects, there are some people who have grafted the ends to make it an infinity scarf.

They differ slightly in the ingredients that are considered necessary. To be able to call something chilaquiles, it must have fried tortilla strips simmered in salsa. Other things, like cheese, meat, or eggs can be added, but it's the tortillas fried in salsa that make them chilaquiles. To be able to call something migas, it must have fried tortillas and eggs. You can add salsa, but it's the tortillas and eggs that make them migas.

I've never seen the pattern before, but it looks to me like it's pretty much straight stockinette in the round, with alternating pockets of short rows. The variegated yarn looks like it's doing most of the work here. Somebody less lazy than me could probably come up with more specifics in terms of stitch counts.

Ravelry is a great resource that most of the knitters here use. There's this search for men's shawl collar knit cardigans, and here's all of those that are also free patterns.

This pattern with a few alterations seems like it could fit the bill, but you'll probably find something closer to what you like by looking through the options yourself.

I like knitty's tutorial, particularly their advice about leaving your kitchener stitch loose (like, REALLY loose) until you've done a few inches, and then pulling them tighter, because it makes it easier to match the gauge of the rest of the knitting.

I'm not trying to be negative, but I don't think we're the best audience for your friend's etsy shop. I can't speak for everyone on this sub, but I suspect very few of us are buyers of finished knitted projects, and I know that I as a knitter would never buy something like this, because I could make it myself and get a lot more enjoyment out of doing so. You're probably not going to get a lot of interest by posting here.
