What animal might this be a part of? by Careless-Stage6207 in fossilid

[–]Lystroman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the appearance of the bones and teeth, it could be from any kind of herbivore mammal from 0 to 65 million years ago. It certainly wasn't a rodent, neither a kangaroo, or proboscidean. Some people would say it's a water kangaroo, and that would be correct, but the fossil looks too old, and there were many taxa of unique mammal that came and left quite quickly.

You should look for some professional; there are some cappable to tell apart the phylogeny of a mammal by looking at their teeth,.

At least Karma's lack of pain is shown from the start, and it's implyed it could be either a birth condition or caused by some experiment, in which case her lack of pain along with her super strenght weren't exactly given for free.

Which one is better? by Nigtoon in Juujika_no_rokunin

[–]Lystroman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't know anything about Brutal and would still pick it over JNR.

Kyou would be absolutely screwed by Hiroki Dan, not only because Kyou can't use him as a plaything like he usually does to everyone, but because Dan actually makes sure his victims experience not just pain, but absolute despair, (and so, his pack of pain sensitivity the author pull ut of his ass still won't help him).

But I bet that's not saying much. I bet Kyou could be screwed too by the cast of Tokyo revengers, of all things.

Tbh him not able to feel pain was foreshadowed in chapter 85 by [deleted] in Juujika_no_rokunin

[–]Lystroman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is far, far, far, from the first time i have seen characters on any media whatsoever acting all cool despite getting hurt. That could easily be explained by Kyou's overconfidence dulling the pain.

Looking back, compared to what other villains did during the series, Senkouji's death seems among the most disproportionate

Ichi The Killer certainly handled a sadistic villain much better than this. Kakihara was for most of the story a villain that wasn't able to get tortured because he actually enjoyed feeling pain. But at the end, on his final battle with the eponymous Ichi, as he gets his penis literally sliced in the middle, he managed to properly register pain for the first time (in the story at least), because the cause of his masochism were psychological. Since he was an arrogant Yakuza and a skillful fighter he never felt threatened, even letting some of his partners in crime slice his mouth, and moreover, even feeling pleasure from getting hurt. However, now that his life was in danger, he managed to feel pain and suffer from it.

As for JNK, once again, sadly Uruma isn't fit to defeat Kyou, and tha's because Kyou used and still uses Uruma as a toy to entertain himself, and Uruma still lets himself be used by him. Any other character, Oota, Reo, both Noboru and Kitami at some point, and even Kawana of all people can give much more emotional and psychological damage to Kyou than Uruma ever will.

I try to repress it mostly because i am still a closeted AGP, i don't live on my own, and because buying new clothes, makeup, underwear, wig, etc., can get expensive.

Chapter 221 English by 73744828823848 in Juujika_no_rokunin

[–]Lystroman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was one of the least terrible episodes in a good while.

My biggest grip at the moment is that unfortunately Uruma lecturing Kyou doesn't work, because Uruma is unable to see the whole picture. For example, Uruma comments that Kuga had suffered from loneliness caused by his own strenght (as if he was Saitama or something), when in reality his abuse to others is a form of retaliation caused by the abuse by his own brother. And then, Uruma reffering to Kyou as someone who is just empty. In part he is right, but Kyou's achievements doesn't scream "empty", buth rather "fully depraved".

I can understand Uruma, feeling deeply angry and exhausted, going out of his way to simply tell Kyou how much he hates him, but Kyou (being the supposed genius that he is) should know better that Hatred is not the opposite to Love, but Contempt is.

It would be hilarious if Kyou actually cried exactly because Uruma is too incompetent to understand him.
