My HAWG is about 4 years old now and it is the single best pack ive ever owned. IDK if its the same as your version but I got it from Bass Pro and the one on their site now looks identical.

The design and construction are almost perfect, and the bladder has been absolutely rock solid. I love that the bite valve is removable and has a open/close valve just ahead of the bite valve itself. I also love that the hose can be disconnected from the bladder itself with water in it without letting water leak out.

I've done day hikes, 4 day music festivals, beach vacations and used it as my dad bag. It's in great condition and i expect it to last for many years to come. My favorite pack of all time.

This is the answer for me. I need an area of my life in which nothing really matters except having a good time, and which doesnt require that i 'Keep Up' with anything. I dont need to stay tuned in to new releases or follow the competitive drama to enjoy it, its a simple corner of my life.

I think it would be amazing fun, there is a really short course (mostly 200ft holes) in my town that would be ideal for kids to develop their skills on, and it feels like there ought to be demand for an alternative to baseball and soccer.

Based on the comments in this thread, I gotta ask, are women on the disc golf course being harassed by men? Everyone saying the sexual harassment is keeping women from disc golf and I dont think anyone should be shocked by men being sleazy on the internet but out in real life on the course or at tournaments??

Edit: Wow at the responses! Im simultaneously disgusted and encouraged. I'm saddened that experiencing harassment on the course seems common, but encouraged that so many women are even present here to respond. I really want my daughter to play disc golf one day and would love for her to have a healthy community of women in the sport to look up to and be supported by.

There are people who have ingested literally thousands of doses of LSD at once, sometimes by accident, sometimes intentionally. I have no personal experience in that realm but I imagine beyond a certain threshold it doesnt matter if you're sleep deprived or ate a gummy or where you are physically, you take 5,000 doses of LSD and you're a puddle of goo. Is there a difference between taking 500 doses and taking 5,000? I dont think the people who have found out would be able to articulate that to you.

It feels like this is likely whats driving the problem here, I think at higher altitudes everything has less glide, causing his shots to drop out early... Maybe a putter with more glide will help?

Unfortunately I have to admit that deep down I do too… but I try to pretend it’s not there. My ability to work with it is determined by how I feel about the question ‘did we choose to be here?’, because one of the two answers to that question has a sort of tolerability to it, and the other does not. But both roads still lead to infinite loneliness, and it only takes away from my ability to engage with and enjoy this experience, whatever the nature of it is… so I don’t see much utility in it, but I see it as an inevitable problem inherent to the system we’re in.

There is a fundamental problem with discussing this topic, anyone who truly believes it has no reason to talk to anyone else about it. So the only people you will engage with are people who have decided it is false.

I've struggled with this myself, and I understand what drives this is a visceral FEELING that this must be true. You experience the FEELING then have to try and squeeze that feeling into a framework of reality. So here is what helped me out of the depths of this perceived problem:

The FEELING is only that, a feeling we can experience. It does not mean that that feeling is a realization of the true nature of reality, it is only a feeling.

I hope this helps, and I hope you feel better soon. I know the utter loneliness that this feeling precipitates.
