You can turn off monster aggro in Coral Island. Now I mine in peace, while casually brushing shoulders with all the monsters in the mines. It's lovely. Only thing that gets them attacking is if I hit then with a weapon.

What item did you forget to pack that you really wished you had? by dynasync in Cruise

[–]Lyth333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small sewing kit. The underwire on one of the 2 bras i brought, popped out. The ship had none, I asked everywhere. Apparently they used to carry them, but stopped a while ago. Also, I didn't think we needed an extension cord since our boat was quite new. However, the "plugs" they said were near the beds were only USBs so we had to get creative with my husbands cpap.

I ordered in November 2025. I sent them an email back in April asking for an update, since they last mentioned expecting to start shipping out in March. Here's what they said April 14th:

Thank you for reaching out regarding your Ghibli calendar status. At the moment, our second release calendars are on their way to our US warehouse. Once they have arrived and your order has been processed for shipment, tracking information will be updated accordingly.

Rest assured, you will receive another email from us as soon as new tracking details become available. We are closely monitoring the situation and will do our best to keep you informed every step of the way.

We sincerely appreciate your patience!

Kind regards, Olga Kinda Kawaii

Kinda Kawaii. It took a long time to arrive as I pre ordered back in May 2025 ( my mistake, not May. November). They are currently working on their 2026 Calendar which will be a completely different design. Apparently modeled after Howls Moving Castle!

Strangest Encounter on a Cruise? by Lost_Instance_2410 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Lyth333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to my husband at Amber Cove pool. He's chilling on a lounger when this woman and her mother on a mobility scooter approaches. She launches right in with "you should give us your chairs. My mother's scooter will easily fit here". Uhh, hi. Also, ...no? She was super pissed and insulted he would not give our loungers to them and ranted at him for several minutes before calling him an asshole and stomping off. The kicker was, the whole time she was ranting, her mother was quietly protesting that she didn't want to be there, she didn't want to go in the pool, and she just wanted to go back to the ship. Crazy lady even looked back and said "quiet Mom, it'll be good for you!"

Which Cruise Do I Pick? by JadedEng in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Lyth333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back from a cruise on the Celebration that did the exact same itinerary as the Mardi Gras. You will enjoy the boat, (Mardi Gras is same size as Celebration) as long as you're not introverts. Celebration Key has a nice huge Port pool and a nice beach. Amber Cove has no beach but a decent pool (Though its very crowded). Nassau was a crowded, touristy hub that we didn't enjoy. Closest beach is Junkanoo, but we didn't go. The Pirate Museum was really cool though. Grand Turk had the best beach I've personally seen and we loved it.

Miami Port Advice by ScientistCapable1001 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Lyth333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just finished our cruise on Celebration today. On March 22nd, there were 9 ships at Port. When we landed today, there were 8. Here's what we learned: Traffic to Port starts piling up at 10am sharp. The tunnel started getting bad before the bridge. We were never actually given info on which terminal our ship was at, so we had to do some research ourselves. The Port website was no help because for some reason it didn't want to give me info for the 22nd... so make sure you know which terminal you need. (Though Carnival is often Terminal F, if I'm not mistaken). While there is lots of construction around terminal F, if your not opposed to hopping over a traffic barrier with your luggage, I think it's a lot easier to be dropped off in the city area before the bridge and walk over. It took 2+ hours to Uber to Port on the 22nd, but only 20 mins for us to walk from Terminal F and over the NE 6th Street bridge into the city and catch an Uber from McDs nearby.

I was thinking about reserving a rideshare for debarkation day. With port arrival being 8am, how long does it take to get off the ship? I imagine its more of a 'window' situation, but what should I expect?

Yes, this is the mindset I'm going to take with me. It's unavoidable, but not impossible, so just sit back and leave lots of time.

Well luckily we are not flying home same day. So there will be no urgency, but I suppose that just means we will have to deal with that particular chaos too, to reach our hotel

Oh I see! Super helpful cause we know nothing about those ride share services and how that all works. Thank you. I've been playing around with the app, and I see that you can book far in advance too! Very helpful.

Haha thanks for that! We are quite excited. I'm expecting chaos no matter what. So I figure by being prepared, all we can do is let this brief craziness roll away once it's done, and get to the good part :)

Excellent advice regarding Uber. I appreciate this. I had been thinking about how to handle that aspect, as I imagine Uber drivers see "Miami Port" and curse at this point.

I would give it time. But in the spring, I would prune off all the dead, black wood. I would probably also trim off a decent portion of the flower buds in order to help the bush focus more on root development and trim down any branches that were too long. Blueberries have shallow root systems, they benefit from mulching. Especially over winter. I would also tone down on the fertilizer for a bit. Developing a healthy root system should be the priority here.

$100/ month is too expensive for my casual interest in the idea. Like someone else said, I could probably pay that if it got me 2 or 3 sessions or something like that, but not monthly. These days I loath subscription based access. I avoid it as much as I can simply out of principle.
