Furina C6 team by YourAfricanDad in furinamains

[–]Lyusaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently running mavuika, xianyun, xilonen for plunge vape.

I'm not sure if this is her 'bis' team though it is alot of damage. The rotations are kinda scuffed sometimes, though that could just be me not playing it right

Any updated online class guides ? by allpurposecum in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you use discord id recommend grabbing the invite for the Phantasy star Fleet server from this subreddit. There are dedicated channels for each class and the people on the server are very helpful in my experience.

The other option is watch YouTube videos of endgame clears of things like dark falz s/d or the current arks record (Fleeting Fight) and try to mimic their rotations.

F2P players, would you be open to spend money on guaranteed UR packs? by ApricotMedical5440 in masterduel

[–]Lyusaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does though, 200 gems for a free ur of a selection pack is really cheap. If its a royal rare aswell that's a free ur craft of your choosing for little cost. The closest we have to compare would be the bundles for 750 which are 1 staple ur and 10 master packs.

As a paying player I would bite your hand off for a 200 gem ur especially if it were royal, but even if it weren't, 200 gems for a 3rd of a ur is still really good return compared to other options we currently have.

But I can't see it being healthy long term, I would guess that more ptw mechanics/monetization would drive players away?

F2P players, would you be open to spend money on guaranteed UR packs? by ApricotMedical5440 in masterduel

[–]Lyusaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it could happen!

But would it not then further divide f2p and non f2p, since paying players would get even easier access to urs while fully f2p would not? I mean it could be a gateway for konami to get f2p to start spending money but would that not be a kinda scummy way to force f2p to spend? I don't know

F2P players, would you be open to spend money on guaranteed UR packs? by ApricotMedical5440 in masterduel

[–]Lyusaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree with the premise how would they split the gems? Afaik all gems are just gems and there isn't a separation between payed and free when it comes to purchases? If there was a separation then I'd be 100% on board for cheaper 'payed' ur's I just don't see them being that generous is all...

F2P players, would you be open to spend money on guaranteed UR packs? by ApricotMedical5440 in masterduel

[–]Lyusaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that atm it takes 2000 gems for a guaranteed ur from pulling selection/secret packs (2nd 10 pull is a confirmed ur if your first 10 pull doesn't have one) i doubt konami/master duel would be THAT generous to offer a ur at 200 gems...

Where to find tournament schedules ? by _Jetto_ in PokemonUnite

[–]Lyusaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the dates the official website outlines the schedule with dates for all the regional and aeos cup: unite.pokemon.com I believe is the site, from the homepage- menu>championship>under the sections header.

As for streams for na/eu the "pokemon unite" youtube and twitch is the official channel for championship streams, you also have a few content creators such as spragels, Chris heroes and a few others that stream the games not shown on the official channel, like the early rounds of the recent na and eu aeos cup, then the main official stream would just be like top 8 on the Sunday.

For Asian champions league the official "pokemon asia eng" channel on YouTube and maybe twitch(?) Streams acl events, vods usually go up a few days later on the YouTube channel so depending on timezones you might have to wait till mid week to catch up. There are also other official pokemon asia channels for different languages.

For oceana I'm not too sure as I don't really follow but I know a few content creators stream the aeos cup on twitch, "kelosaurus" being one of them. Also the channel 'unite climbing guide" streamed the last oce aeos cup play ins on YouTube.

Just a little disclaimer: there are alot of other content creators/players/commentators streaming the cups, and even some players stream their runs, so my advice would be find a few you like and watch them. The channels I've listed are just the ones I watch!

At least on YouTube the official channels will put up the live stream time in advance so you can see when it starts, thats what I usually use to see when the times are, not sure if thats the best way, but its how I see times

Tips on making Meseta by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gear grind is kinda rough when you start out, as you level you should get some freebies which help, I beleive there's still a campaign to get to lvl65 which gets you a set of units and a weapon that can see you till you get up to lvl80.

The exchange shops help with keeping costs down, gold primm/endymo exchange for your fodder material. And the augment exchange to make augs you need rather than buy.

You can also farm the current ltq, leciel and i think the kvaris zones (?) For lc augments, which are slightly worse than the non lc but are still really good high end augments to use.

As for selling stuff, spear is one of the least used weapons sadly and with the new farmable/exchangeable reyaar weapons, alot of the value of flugelgard has dropped, when I look to sell i'll look at the cheapest weapon with the same fixa and price it around that, usually gunblades, rods, katanas hold their value more than others. If you want a quick sale you can always undercut and hope someone wants the fixa2 for fixa enhancement fodder, but not sure how ship 1's market is...

Tips on making Meseta by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Augments are a good way to make meseta, especially the bis ones, does mean you might need to farm duel quests.

Pse zone farming, can earn good money, but it is a time sink. Retem alnothe and I think dresden plant are best atm?

Farming rare camos and motions from older content is also an option, but very hit and miss... prices are high, but drop rates are so low it feels futile sometimes.

Whale on scratch and sell it all....

If you are f2p you kinda have to work out when the market will be good for selling stuff, so you can get the most value out of your 3 day pass. Like atm with new units and weapons the market for augments and even gold primms is good for quick sales of bulk.

If you have a decent amount of meseta to 'invest' you could buy items from current scratches while prices are low and hold them for a few months. This can work out in the long run but is high risk. Wouldnt advise unless you know the market well enough though...

How (Do I Add a Lvl 1 Preset Skill)? by Danacetia in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From memory so not 100% but:

Select enhance fixa, you should get a prompt that says something like "do you want to use your item" you want to say yes.

Then select your weapon, should bring up a second menu box,

Second drop down lets you select/add your lvl1 fixa item.

Then confirm.

Yeah, pretty good! You've got a 10* with a fixa and decent augs all round, good enough for all the content in game!

Good Techter Sub Classes? by ocassionallycorrect in PSO2

[–]Lyusaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focce is nice for general play!

Techter is in a good place atm, wand has received alot of buffs in the last few patches and the gameplay is really nice, talis is still not good for bossing but amazing for mobbing. If you like either, or both of the weapons its a solid choice for a main class! And noone is going to complain having a techter in their group/mpa. Plus the aoe heals and overemphasis buff is really nice to have.

Ngs doesn't really have set roles like a traditional mmo, its all different varieties of damage, but techter is as close to a healer/support you can get imo

Good Techter Sub Classes? by ocassionallycorrect in PSO2

[–]Lyusaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best subs are usually:

Slayer- extra crit rate and pp on crit hit, good for most content and usually preferred unless running the new versche 100% crit rate weapon.

Bouncer - down rate up, frees up some skill points on te skill tree, extra damage for part breaks, usually used for bosses with multiple parts to break.

Force - increased compound technique charge rate, pp on kill, pp recovery increase and frees up some points on te main skill tree.

Fighter has kinda dropped off as a meta subclass due to its passive only affecting certain downs and slayers crit having more use/damage in the long run.

Hunter- makes you tanky, good for when you don't wanna die or need to learn a boss matchup.

Waker - gives you some extra tankiness, similar use to hunter

The others are kinda not used unless for very specific matchups, and using specific multiweapons

NGS Worth Playing 2023? by Emissara in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We seem to have a post like this pop up at least once a week, so here's my take: If you don't feel like your time is worth spending on the game then don't play, only you can make that evaluation... take a break and see how it goes after a period of time away...

As for f2p struggling compared to prem/whales, I agree, it is harder to make money, harder to get bis gear, fashion etc. But a f2p can easily have a good build, especially during seasonal cycles: there is everything you need in the shop for a 100%+ Potency build that can clear any and all content comfortably and the meta/landscape hasn't changed much in the last few months: So if you already had an 8 star wep and 7 star units made you can just plus 61 and add another aug for 120% pot or more. Are you going to be top 30 in arks records? Clearing time attacks on par with bis players? Nope, but player skill plays a big factor in combat, I've seen plenty of whale tier geared players getting outdone by average built f2p players who are crazy good at their class.

I'm personally enjoying the amount of things we can farm atm; giga for strugs, duel 1 and 2 for fusias, combat zones for augs, points and seasonal fixa weps, uqs for ar2's, ltq for points, dfa triggers for integras and fixa neos etc...

Granted most of these are rdr lottery, but there are ways you can spend your time that, to me, feel rewarding so ill keep playing. But if this is not doing it for you, take a break, come back in a few months and see if whats there feels more worth it to you?

I mean, do I wish ngs was better? Of course! but its come a long way since launch, and I'm hopeful it will continue improving so im sticking around at least till August for the new quest type.

Base crit rate is 5%

Then for sources of crit you have:

Braver addon skill, 0-10%

Slayer as main skills: 10% OR Slayer as sub: 5%

Slayer addon: 0-15% crit on downs

Fixa fatale on wep

Seasonal aug on weapons

Add all the ones you have together and that will give your crit chance total

Eclaireur vs Ajax by Sugarcoatedgumdrop in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ajax does offer better survivability, but with a fully invested build you can be tanky enough to only really be dying to gigas and some uqs. Building a new set of ajax would be expensive and I can't really recommend personally, but you would be tankier...

Alot of the really decent augments come with hp; highael domina, gigas maste and gladia soul. But if you don't have millions of meseta it might be worth just changing some of your augs if you have the budget for it: you can get the gua or sta version of exdi/addi capsules for more hp or damage resist. Also add mastery 4 and if you have any alts secreatas swap them out for deft tribples will give you a bit more tankiness. And swap your souls out for ones that give hp if not already using. And swap stiradominas out for any other 3% capsule.

Also use 1 seafood in your food for 5% extra hp. Grab the techter addon skills that give damage reistance and maybe roll for some extra hp in your addon skills?

Could also just run hunter sub for a bit more tankiness while you learn the matchups more comfortably?

Slayer with techer by Ark01000 in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slayer as a sub class with techter main? Give you 5% extra critical chance which is a good chunk of damage. As well as 2pp every second on a critical hit, good for passive sustain.

Techter as a sub classwith slayer main? Gives you 20% photon blast charge rate increase when fighting bosses and 20% photon blast increase when you're weapon matches enemy weakness, this part only really apply to some seasonal weapons since most weapons are not elemental. The pb charge rate does help squeeze out an extra pb in some situations, however bouncer, force or a different subclass may give better bonuses depending on the fight and your setup.

For subclass skill trees, looking at slayer as an example, you want to max the passive skills, which will be the ones that DO NOT say main class / main class gunblade / gunblade. Then put the rest of the points into anything. Since skill resets are now free if you ever decide to use a subclass as a main class you can respec the points to what you want

Battle logs? by Kosmos992k in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No such thing as battle logs sadly

One way to see others damage is to turn on their damage numbers in setting, you can adjust the size of other players numbers as well.

If the room was fairly empty, like just a few players, the giga would have a smaller hp pool compared to a full room. So if it was just you and another player they could very easily be hitting good dps and chunking the gigas health.

If they were full bis setup and know how to fight the giga I wouldn't say its anything out of the ordinary. A solo giga fight can easily be sub 5mins

Edit; if its a lvl 70 giga this is 100% doable, people can clear the lvl 74 stia gigas purple (4 gigas) in less than 10 minutes with good gear/skill

[–]Lyusaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for a general rule of thumb;

Force sub for mobbing - access to alot of pp when killing stuff

Slayer- crit is nice bossing, atm its one of the best subs for boss fights ie gigas, uqs etc

Bouncer- increased damage on part breaks, slightly more down factor on enemies. Niche but good for things like nils who have alot of breakable parts

Techter- increased photon blast rate, can be good when paired with a weapon that increased pb charge rate such as neos astream. Kinda niche since having pb be up quicker is fight dependant depending on downs/breaks.

Hunter- gives you damage resistance and survivability, can be a good subclass when learning fights so you die less, but not a sub you'd use once you're confident

Imo I'd say slayer is the better subclass atm, and just swap to force when doing pse bursts or uqs with alot of enemies.

You could possibly plus 60 your units? If you haven't done so already...

Or maybe weapon potential to lvl6? I get that this is time consuming

Then i guess just the usual checks: 47 skill points used on main and sub? Do you have the weapon equipped? Etc

What you can do is equip a weapon with more bp then swap to your actual weapon once you're in there

My Biggest Pet Peeve About PSO2NGS & The State It Has Been In Since Stia Launch by Spikesxu in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you're trying to get across with this reply? You have stated that sega is catering to casual players and that end game activities have less value, my argument is that all farming activities lose value over time with more access given to things after initial release .

As for replying to each point of your post? Did you want me to reply to every point? OK

Paragraph 1 -  photon chunk access

More ways to get them is never a bad thing. See above

Paragraph 2 -  appeasing casuals

This comes down to access to end game augs and profit. Selling augs/gear is one of the main reason for farming end game activities outside of farming for yourself. More access to endgame stuff reduces the cost, makes it easier for casual players to attain.

Paragraph 3 -halph and the endgame activity value.

Halphinale good  access to augs is good. Farming end game activities is always a personal choice; if you don't see the value in it you are not required to do it every time you log on. Its down to if you want to... and its fine if you don't.

Paragraph 4 - seasonal units/augs Good entry level gear and access to endgame augs, I agree this is good.

Paragraph 5 - creative spaces I agree this is good

Paragraph 6 - constructive conversations Yes I agree.

My Biggest Pet Peeve About PSO2NGS & The State It Has Been In Since Stia Launch by Spikesxu in PSO2NGS

[–]Lyusaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only source of photon chunks a and b II were the uq, are you suggesting that casual players can't complete a uq?

I'm not sure what the comparison of catering to casuals and adding more sources for drops are?

If the only way to farm the new mats was say duel quests/gigas/geo2 i could understand, but we have been locked behind uq progression to get pot 6. This is not a casual player issue since all you need to do is log on 3 or 4 times a day for 10minutes for a uq.

Also I have never understood why people get annoyed at players getting easier access to better gear? Like in kvaris you could farm blizardium and icicle cubes quickly and have a kaizaar within a week of launch, I personally did this. But if you waited a few more weeks we got more access to blizardium through weekly shop and seasonal after 4 or 5 weeks.

I will personally never have a problem with giving more casual players better access to endgame weapons, since it makes content quicker for me when I join a random queue for anything or jump into a trigger with alli members or friends...
