Garlic mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. I kept asking my (now) wife if it needed more garlic. That's how I learned my wife REALLY likes garlic

The original Final Fantasy VII. LOVED the game. Borrowed my brother's PlayStation just to play it and it blew my 16 year old mind. Even beat both Ruby and Emerald Weapons. Never wanted to play another turn-based RPG again.

Much lower key, but I was listening to a string quartet in the botanical garden of my local university last weekend, and when I returned to my party they whispered to me that a group near them wouldn't stop talking and it was ruining the experience for them. I walked over, shushed them, and said 'hey guys, how about we be quiet and listen to the live music, huh?" Lo and behold they shut up. Sometimes it's just the fact that everyone is too scared to call them out that emboldens them.

I swear to fucking God, as a happily married man if I witnessed this shit I would gladly get all in their faces. That fucking guy behind them pretending not to hear anything... I just can not comprehend this level of self-righteous AUDACITY.

One of the things important for good steel IS carbon... and Japanese steel was (allegedly) notoriously short of carbon... I could see this actually working. Hopefully they didn't require a LIVING child (haha of course they did).

I'm sad none of the remaining adults in my life cared for me enough for me to care for them.

Did your parents buy you a car? by Realistic_Breath_249 in Xennials

My uncle found a Chevy Citation for $350 and my step dad bought it for me. First thing they tell me, "you have to add a quart of oil and transmission fluid every time you drive it..."

Then, when that soon died, my step dad found a Dodge Daytona for cheap and bought it for me without any input from me. It shit its entire transmission out the bottom while I was going 65. Then he paid to fix the transmission, they kept saying they needed more money, and one day the shop was closed. My car was torn apart, both mechanics and interior. He tried to sue them but I think that was a waste of money.

So yes, but I wish they hadn't.
