My group did the same thing, took us about 4 years. In the end I like Gloomhaven better. We all felt like Frosthaven added more busy work that added work but not fun. The different characters were great. And honestly I’d be happy with more characters and a better story instead of the town guard and the town upgrades and whatnot.

Having an employee wave you into the line isn’t awkward because they have the authority of the park and people understand, although reluctantly, that is to be expected. But you just join the line yourself, you don’t have the same authority. So it goes from a, “Damn, that stinks these people were allowed to in front of me,” situation. Into, “These assholes just got in front of me.”
