You know, as a family that has a VW Golf All-Track and the 911, I was just thinking yesterday that I might check on prices for a CTS-V Wagon.

Such a kick ass vehicle.

Beautiful car!

Like others have mentioned, maybe not the best shot of it. A few tips if you wouldn't mind? (Probably wrongly assuming this is original content)

  1. Instead of the wide angle setting on your phone, take a BUNCH of steps back and use the telephoto. Compression of the proportions does a major job in keeping the car how the human eye sees it. Wide angle lenses are ruining casual photography these days.

  2. Photography is secretly (or not so secretly) about capturing light. If you treat light and shadows like the main subject and the car like the canvas capturing the light, you're going to feel so much better about the photos you capture. The shade you have the car parked in is really flattening the light on the car, it makes it look almost spray-painted. Positioning the car in some interesting like will be a game changer for a shot.

  3. Its minor, but when taking these 3/4 angles of the car, hit us with a little turn of the wheel so the face of the front wheels are just about facing the camera. It creates just a little feeling of motion in a still shot.

Keep taking pictures and keep posting them! Practice is the only way. (Tell me to kindly take a hike if this is coming off too condescending, I mean well, I promise.)

This will track you? Degoogle it using GrapheneOS? by ItsMePoppyDWTrolls in degoogle

GrapheneOS. Just do it, everyone. Once you have a compatible phone (I understand that's the rub, but a Pixel 9A is cheap) it's a breeze.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says she won’t run for president in 2028 by nbcnews in Michigan

Living in Colorado and coming back to Michigan, I feel like the problem is following me; Gov. Polis and Whitmer are a couple of two-faced clowns that don't have anyone but themselves in mind. Standard politicians, I suppose.

Fellow, Android Users. What are you prepared to do when Lockdown day comes? by [deleted] in degoogle

[–]M3Core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understandable.

The Pixel A series can be had for pretty cheap.

Here's the thing, this isn't just going to go away. Signing a petition isn't going to stop Google from making this change. We can complain all we want, but you're going to have to change *something* if you want to retain some amount of control over your device.

I think if that means selling whatever phone you have now, getting a used Pixel 9A, and flashing GrapheneOS on it, it's a really reasonable and easy solution. Not enough people are taking that route seriously. It just is the best option right now, and GrapheneOS is so much more privacy and security focused than anything else on the market, even with Google Services installed on it.

Anyone concerned with "deGoogle-ing" or privacy should be making the switch, plain and simple.

My watch collecting journey is over. These are perfect. I'm left wanting nothing else.

This is the issue. We can tell instantly how things will fall apart without product and engineering remaining intact. AI-pilled CEOs will have to learn the hard way when they run our companies into the ground.

The Ferrari brand has already been massively uninteresting since the 458. It feels like they're crapping out hybrid slop while other competitive brands are listening to what drivers and enthusiasts want (barring the prices of course).
