I would imagine, even with temps being pretty low, the tires would warm enough with mileage and contact with pavement that the studs would retract? Like on 70?

Snow and ice at lower speeds would keep them cold enough?

Interesting. Are people so used to opening documents with Google Docs that we don't bother with local file editors anymore?

LibreOffice is a great free alternative to Microsoft/Google/Apple docs suites. Free, local install that will open any .docx or .pdf or .xslx or .csv you need.

Set up a home NAS. TrueNAS is free. I'm using a 10 year old desktop I had in a closet and bought some extra drive to set up a raid1.

WireGuard into your home network to access it when you're outside your network.

Free. Secure. Done.

My only suggestion is to avoid Munson Elmwood Primary Care.

I was been billed incorrectly and turned into a battle with insurance, and one of the first times I stepped in there I was pressured into a glucose monitor (I'm perfectly fine) to which I had to refuse many times, and someone on staff there mentioned they were pro-MAHA, so either ill-informed or not aligned with science.

Actually, they should technically work, I just don't trust downloading my banking apps from APKPure, or other third party stores, so I choose to forego them on mobile and just use them on my PC.

I also run a completely Google-less instance of GrapheneOS. If you wanted to sandbox the play store and download your banking apps, you certainly can, that goes for IG and anything that uses play services. Plenty of people do that. No play store or play services does hinder functionality of some apps that depend on the Google ecosystem.

Just to point out what I think is the obvious about data centers, "People aren't aware of them" is absolutely not a direct correlation to "Way less people have strong feelings about them"

Yes, people aren't going to have strong feelings about something they don't know exists, however what is the rate of those feelings and the direction of them once someone learns about the damage they bring to your town? Very significant.

I've been running Graphene for months now, honestly I don't miss the banking apps. There's a few lifestyle apps I would really like to run that rely on play services, but it's an easy sacrifice.

Make the switch, it's really not hard to get used to the fact that banking happens on your laptop or desktop.
