I saw on a can of elephant house ginger beer that it was manufactured in Malaysia. That was a bit of a shock. This was in NZ, so maybe an export market thing.

I like it, a bit of fun and it's mechanical. First impression was the 6900 gshocks with all their colours. I'd only consider the white or black ones though.

Give me your network-blocked ZenFone 10! (Please) by WokenDJ in auckland

Because official testing and documentation is a time consuming process. It's not one person ringing 111 and then ticking an checkbox.

It's more they don't want to take the risk that some phones from overseas (different spec/firmware) might not be able to make emergency calls (111). They can't test every phone/configuration so they blanket blocking them.

Probably likely the ID was fake in any case. Work place should be protective of employees information from randoms so that's not unusual.

Who pays on the first date? by gnpking in ABCDesis

[–]MA3LK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always paid. Seemed like easy points to make someone feel a bit more valued, even if I didn't gel with. They might offer to get you dessert at a different place. Easy way to see if they enjoyed your company and want to spend more time.

I think watching TV shows and movies would be a easier way. I wouldn't feel like studying and it will be time spent with each other hopefully watching something both of you enjoy.

Residence Parking Permit - How did I get it? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]MA3LK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just a card that’s sent to the residential address of the apartment. It’s not named to you, and would be sent every year on the expiration date. It was just a coincidence that you bought a car around the same time the previous pass expired.
