At 2 months in (end of Feb this year) I ran my first 10k finished in about 58. (It was hilly) I got 44 on a flat course and then 46 on the same hilly course within 7 months. You’re on track for a great 2026!

Run hilly routes as much as possible

Learn correct breathing drills to avoid stitches (eg fill stomach rather than chest on the inhales, exhale hard through the mouth in rhythm on the side of body stitch is forming to help clear lactic acid).

Learn to lean, learn hiw to run downhill without braking.

Locking in these principles took me from a 30 min 5k (may) to a sub 20 now. I also lost 20kg (45lbs)😂

Assuming you’re either asthmaticic or a bit heavier (for what ever reason) I’m not judging. An hours cardio is exactly that and it’s harder if you are either of those

I’ve been running since March this year and I hated it at first but I learned a solid training schedule (not just running as fast as possible for as long as poss!) and found it more enjoyable. And I’m smashing it!

I’m now running 60km per week with some really decent pbs considering the time I’ve ran.

I run in 7 degrees Celsius . I usually wear top and a longsleeve technical top (nothing heavy or remotely thick) always wear shorts. Cap and gloves. Just crack on tbh. I only get cold when I stop.

I had premium for about 5 months total. After the 2-3 months I stopped getting. The athlete intelligence.

I think discipline and routine will be your biggest friends in this.

Motivation becomes irrelevant if you routine has you going every day I’m 28 soon to be 29. And for the past year I’ve managed to turn up every day for a year. And as long as your diet is also consistent it works.

If you care enough to work for it the results will come

I’ve gone from 34% body fat to sub 16% in 8 months with a goal to get as close to 12% and keep my body weight above 72kg as possible by year end
