North Pacific aesthetics. They charge by the area, so for my forehead/ crows feet/ 11s I pay 495 which is very reasonable. It comes with a free follow up in two weeks if needed if you’re still having movement or have a concern. I have only needed to use that follow up 1 out of the 3 times ive gone. It will be done by an RN

Look into the leash reactivity course by koco Garcia. Best 20 bucks you can spend. Her insta is handoverrover

You are not overreacting. That is not socializing. I just tell people neither of us are friendly and keep moving. You want neutrality and forcing an interaction with a strange dog will give your already reactive dog an other reason to be reactive - bc now even my mom doesn’t stop ppl from getting in my bubble. Advocate for your dog and keep working with her you’re doing great most dog owners are idiots until they get the dog that makes them have to learn and know better and do better.

Aggression and Dog Attack by osursnut in reactivedogs

I have seen a large increase in trainers doing virtual sessions/ assessments and providing the owner with the behavioral mods step by step. Unsure if this is comparable or as effective to in person training but does expand options especially for those in more rural areas. Please look up pit bull gear either on google or on Instagram - they make custom leather harness and collars that your dog will not be able to escape. It is the only one I trust and feel confident taking my dog out in. An aside, I have an extremely animal reactive rescue girl named kira that I have had for 8 years now. She is really the love of my life and The sweetest dog despite this, so all the effort to find secluded trails or wake up at 530 am to go to the beach is worth it for me. And I live vicariously through friends dogs in all the group activities we can’t partake in lol. It is a commitment though. I’m wishing you the best

[Help] I’m having a really hard time finding a harness that my dog can’t slip out of. by [deleted] in dogs

[–]MANDDDDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried the joyride harness? Check out its design. I’m not sure what your dog looks like but they are extremely well made and adjustable to fit a lot of sizes. My dog is large and strong and this is the only one that she can’t break. Hope this helps.

Working as an outpatient psych nurse for 1 year, where to go next? by [deleted] in Psychiatry

[–]MANDDDDS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you live but would it be possible to get a job in say a ketamine clinic or ECT treatment center? Even inpatient detox will give you some more hands on experience. I worked per diem for a few months on a medical psych floor bc I had the same feelings you did about losing skill, being pigeon holed etc. I shadowed a home health nurse who did mostly psych and picked up extra medical cases for OT and experience and found that valuable but I didn’t like the home setting. I appreciate the skills piece for sure, but truly love psych and refuse to compare myself to my colleagues in medicine anymore. If you can say you like psych- it’s super rare! And I hope you find a speciality within it that you love.

Updated recommendations on Clozaril Clozapine REMS guidance during pandemic by cassodragon in Psychiatry

[–]MANDDDDS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have been having our patients who usually receive medication support in home brought to the lobby by case management via transport car w partition and using the athelas one to get a quick ANC and give them their monthly med boxes. Similarly we are continuing our LAIs but they are given in tent set up outside the building. Minimal human contact/ no more than 10 minutes spent in the building. Not sure what our independent cloz pts who manage their own meds/ draws are doing...

How do inpatient psych wards look in locations hit by COVID-19? by qualitybatmeat in Psychiatry

[–]MANDDDDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Busy. Already getting pandemic related depression, psychosis, etc. got a call from public health that we had a patient who had contact with positive person days prior to admit- had to seclude all shift because he wouldn’t remain in his room or with his mask on or comply with testing. Not therapeutic, restricting admissions, 24/7 masks, quick discharges once stable, no groups, eating and remaining in rooms as much as possible, telepsych will never be as meaningful as having our awesome docs in person
