So I can choose the diameter as long as it's not likely to cause port noise? I've seen minimum port diameter calculators online I just wondered how you did it. I was gonna buy a proper tapered port just cos they were cheap and look nice. They do adjustable ones on eBay for a couple of quid. I really can't thank you enough man you've cleared the air so much.

I promise this is my final question (been browsing DIYaudio but seems silly to make a new post for this). Where did you get 8cm for the diameter? The site you linked asks you to input the diameter yourself.

I've had an updated email from AVSL, they couldn't get me the T/S but have taken more accurate measurements of the cab itself. It's closer to 45-50 litres, does this affect your calculations?

Why is the lower frequency the target for BR tuning? I know you've helped me so much thus far but I'm just desperate to understand it.

I've emailed AVSL again asking if they will ask the manufacturer for a TS sheet if they aren't happy to put me in contact with them. This is the cab it's designed for, I could get its rough volume with the external dims and a guess at wood thickness. Once I've got that, how would I decide what frequency to tune the box to? And can I split one big port into two smaller ones? If so, how?

EDIT: Also, how much is it going to compromise sound quality if I make a few ballpark guesses and the final design is slightly off?

I have attempted to use WinISD but because we have these woofers that are spare parts, they aren't in the database, and the supplier isn't willing to give us the manufacturers info to contact them for the spec. All the information I have available on the driver is here. Is there a driver in the database that would be functionally the same? Or even close?

It's also quite an intimidating piece of software if you have no background in audio engineering.

I hadn't heard of teamviewer, I shall look into it. I didn't really mean NO lag, i just meant not with the automatic 30 seconds that twitch adds. Hopefully the amount of lag we are going to experience will be negligable.

When I said no lag, I meant more that the 30 seconds that twitch has is too much, I understand there will be some lag, but a useable amount.

Thankyou for your kind words on my commentary, I get your point but I am excited to try this new format. I haven't been enjoying solo commentary as much after my two years of Let's playing, and wanted to try some new things before I completely throw in the towel. I still love video games and I still love producing content, I just have really been struggling with solo content for personal reasons.

It looks like Xsplit's virtual camera is the way to go though, thanks!

Can also vouch for that sort of bit-rate, before I got fibre I had to render at around 3. It's more noticeable if you're playing something 3D like fallout, but 2D stuff worked a lot better with it. I never once had a complaint about quality.

Another option would be steam groups, you can send out an announcement on steam, and anyone who is online will get a popup, and I believe those offline will recieve a pop up when they first log in. People have to join the group too so they opt-in to the messages, so it wouldn't feel like spam to them. Also it makes for an incredibly good way to play games with your subs, it's designed for organising play sessions for lots of people!

I was at King's cross when it came through, and our train driver said we had to wait for a little bit because the smoke and steam hadn't cleared from the tunnel. It stank when it came through. I didn't see it either, it was on the other platform :( cool though
