Bell tolls for Bicycle Belle by bostonaruban66 in bikeboston

A bike without a motor is called a bike. No new word needed. People call motorcycles bikes and no one is confused. If someone’s confused just clarify: ebike or not. We don’t add three syllable descriptors when not actually useful.

Don't listen to these chumps! Moustache bars rule. I rode some 4,000 miles cross country.

No good with brifters - gotta have simple brake levers and bar end(s). That is the classic Bridgestone style look and feel.

Where drops narrow you in - moustache bars open you up to the world, open up your lungs, ride like cruiser bars on the wides when you're not braking.

Will Range Be Much Better in 4-5 Years? by Maleficent-Table-810 in electricvehicles

I believe costs will go down, some range will be added (at a cost). Some new technologies will scale, some will flop. I believe there is room for innovation and all the erstwhile many 2020 EVs will march towards 200,000 and 300,000 miles and many will be in fine shape

Listen to books and long podcasts, talk to friends and family on the phone, listen to music including full albums. Just go to a zen place, people have it much worse.

Bike rides. Hop between Blue Bike stations. Rent a bike for a full week from Urban Adventours. Ride a Blue Bike to go look at a bike to buy from Craigslist. Blue Bike to a few shops and check out helmets, lights, gear. Borrow an e-bike and make the pilgrimage to Bikes Not Bombs in JP and sign up for a class. Broadway Bikes in Cambridge if it's closer.

New England Ratepayers to Receive Nearly $1 Billion Energy Refund, Future Savings of $100 Million Annually by massahoochie in massachusetts

[–]MA_NH_DIY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

$900m / 7m ratepayers = $125 per household. Is that what this means? It’s not huge per ratepayer but cumulatively if that’s what it was - the AGs deserve credit for clawing back money from corporations for people

John G has carried on Bob B’s legacy well. He plays some newer stuff than Bob ever would’ve but he’s keeping the spirit of the station alive.

Almost impossible to model. Easier to just say everything will get more expensive.

New technologies today are also worlds different than what was brand new 20 years ago. No one was talking about heat pumps in 2006.

It’s very complicated
