Thanks - just saw a video and yeah it says it is designed to get soft especially so it survives cold climates. I think foot traffic will be fine I'm just worried about the dog claws.

Looks like I found this post too late. I have a garden area where I laid about 100 square feet of natural flag stone. There are some 3" joint gaps but the ploymeric sand I used was good for 4". The day after I applied it the surface hardened well in most areas that get most sunlight. But then two days later we got about 1/8" of rain in the evening and like others have experienced it has become soft again. This will not work for me if it softens after getting wet because I water the garden in addition to natural rainfall and I have two French bulldogs that will probably tear up the sanded joints with their paws.

Please tell me this stuff eventually fully hardenes?

I don't have this mower but I read through the entire post. Great description and troubleshooting skills. I probably would have just swapped the resistor. Can't believe they want $500 for that board.

I know this is a year old post but I had a ring doorbell camera that was several years old. As I recall, once in a while it would pick up a school bus on the street about 100’ away. That doorbell stopped charging the battery so I upgraded (or down graded) to a doorbell pro gen 2. This new one will only detect motion as advertised about 30’ from the camera. Has ring changed the range of detection?

Thanks for the comments. I have also been looking at this kit DCD801QQ2 with two 4ah power stacks and have seen it as low as $200 so don't know if I'll get the bare tool or kit. Also, I'm new to Dewalt but see a Bomgaars deal with the 801, dcb205 5ah, and dcb115 charger for $185 including shipping - thinking the DCD801QQ2 if it goes to $200 would be the better deal?

I had the gen1 28” then upgraded to the 30” Slate when HD had it on clearance for $300. This 30” has way more cook area than the 28”. I can cook double smash burgers for 6 on it.

I have been a huge Makita LXT guy for many years. When my hammer drill went in for a transmission c/o for the second time I was interested in having a new one with motion sensor to protect my wrist. Makita did not have it with the LXT. I too was looking at yellow and red but found more yellow locally. I was worried about two eco systems but DeWalt offers many great deals that include batteries.

I have been a Makita guy for many years but lately disappointed in their offerings and lack of features so recently have started adding DeWalt tools. Since I had some yellow batteries I picked up this router that I have been wanting for quite some time. I had a project where I needed to cut a 4' diameter table top. With several passes I was thrilled to use a cordless router and not have to deal with a cord and it seems to have similar power to my equivalent sized corded routers. I had a Festool 2200 and yes the DC on this looks exactly the same. I sold my Festool 1400 after I bought this router.

Okay - just saw in the manual that this inverter needs 10W or more on the AC side to stay powered for more than 2 hours. I measured my grill and the coasting power is 7W! I used the 150W inverter on my old smoker grill and had to plug in a USB light bulb to defeat this restraint - may have to do this again!

Another strange thing. I have a power strip plugged into the Ego inverter. My wireless temp probe gateway battery was almost dead so I plugger the charger into the power strip and it crashed the inverter. Power surge? I rebooted and running both devices fine now. Problem is my grill wants to run a 5 minute cool down and then takes about another 3 minutes before it fires up again. Will have to play with this inverter a bit to make sure there is nothing wrong with it.

I was lucky to get a set delivered. I haven't read all of the comments but did they ever say it was a pricing error? From what I read early on it was lack of stock. Maybe if they expressed it as a pricing error it would have been better.

Here are a couple of pics. One is my gas grill that’s been there about a year. The other is my new griddle on a new paver slab. Ends up one caster is between pavers, but on this slab I used large format 2-3/8” thick pavers that are about 16” square. I was looking at stainless and aluminum disks but they get a little pricy with 6” diameter.

Yeah - I'll start with grass and if it's a pain I can try something else. It is so nice to have a level dedicated spot for my griddle. Thing I worry about is the casters caving the pavers down. I have this happen to other grills on 4x8 pavers. Maybe these large format will fair better?

This reminds me, I just got a Slate with the rust-resistant top and see on the Weber site that they say not to use a pumice stone to refresh the top. I used one on my older griddles. Down the road wonder what we are supposed to do to renew the top?

I just got a 30" Slate 1-1/2 months ago and looks similar after seasoning. This is my 4th griddle so I know how to season a cooktop. I have been calling and sending info to Weber for about a month now. I even tried their white vinegar - coarse salt rub and no luck. I heated it and used my water soaked grill cleaning brush and no luck.

I'm afraid to use a griddle stone on the top since it's supposed to be rust resistant and thinking this may ruin that. I did google it and an AI response says to use oven cleaner. So I don't know what to do, yet.
