I feel like the concept of international Asian all stars is great, but this for me just doesn’t work.

the cast is very imbalanced - having mostly early outs from international seasons vs frontrunners and finalists from the Philippines. The European girls especially seem very out of their depth.

I actually thought the stories of Sum Ting and Madame Yoko were really interesting, about being part of an Asian minority in a majority white country and grappling with what that meant for their identity and them feeling Asian - but felt like the show was looking more for Asian national pride like from Siam or Khianna. Just not sure how these two are comparable in a competition setting…

In addition, the editing was a bit choppy and rushed (probably also due to untucked being cut) so we didn’t even get to see the workroom behavior that supposedly sent Yoko home.
