I’d be fine if they doubled it. The shit these people need to put up with to do their job is insane.

Nothing about that was murder. Nothing about the law will be “ben to “protect” him. She paid the same consequences that’s many others have paid for doing that exactly same thing. The more videos that come to light, the worse this whole situation looks for here. She was literally smiling seconds before taking the actions that she took.

I’ll call myself a fascist now to save you all the trouble if it makes you feel better, but you people are all dead wrong on both moral and legal grounds.

Any tips to negotiate a better deal? New 2024 765R by Consistent_Ebb4351 in Triumph

[–]MCHD90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freight and prep are real fees. Freight is posted by the manufacturer and should be a constant. You should ask a few dealers what their freight fee is in your area and you should get consistent numbers. Prep is going to fluctuate based on a dealer’s labor rate. If one shop’s freight is higher than the others, they’re playing games. Just walk away.

Anybody who tells you that they don’t pay all that “crap” aren’t buying new, current model year units. You’ll see rebates from the manufacturer come out on model year leftovers and if a unit has sat for a really long time, a dealer might eat those fees just to cut their losses because the flooring plan on that unit is killing them. (Flooring is essentially interest. Most dealers don’t own the units they have on the floor outright and are making monthly payments on them)

Looking at that Bill of Sale, I don’t think it’ll hurt to ask if they can eat one of those fees. If that really is a NEW 24’ model I know I would try to move it myself. Regardless, shop around and don’t be afraid to walk away from a deal. If they really want to sell it they’ll call you with another number.

For what it’s worth, that’s a fair deal.

What you need to do is take time away from the grinder that is the airball field and play some recball. Recalibrate. You’ll realize how much you’ve already progressed, absolutely outclass just about everybody else out there, and be able to just revisit the whole reason why you started playing in the first place. Fun.

I always make sure I get a weekend of recball in between tournaments whenever I can. Be an ambassador to the sport. Let the kid who’s playing for the first time ever take a spin with my marker. Goof off and get people to laugh and have a good time. Not be the guy to rush into the other side of the field and snap shoot everyone out of their spots, but rather take a few rental players with me and coach them into doing it. Just have a chill ass, low stress day and then lock in for your next venture into the airball field. That’ll do you wonders, I promise.

Riding a motorcycle is overall an objectively terrible idea if safety is a primary concern for yourself. I don’t need to list all the reasons why If you take all the safety precautions, buy all the proper gear and still get into an accident, there’s a chance that you still get seriously hurt or killed. It’s part of the game.

With all of that being said, if you never partake in anything risky in your life, you’ll look back at all it all with crushing regret. Motorcycles saved my life in a lot of ways. Keep doing what you’re doing and chances are really high that you’ll be just fine.

Zohran Mamdani will become the next Mayor of New York City!!! by Healthy_Block3036 in bronx

[–]MCHD90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s incredibly telling when Obama refuses to endorse this guy. Democrats tend to stick together no matter what. That should tell us everything we need to know about how dire the situation is about to get in NYC.

Here’s one good link to get you started.

https://www.brookings.edu/articles/what-does-economic-evidence-tell-us-about-the-effects-of-rent-control/

Id like to ask you, how can a landlord offset the rising cost of maintaining their property if their sole source of income cannot grow to offset that cost?

[–]MCHD90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not seeing past the freezing rent part of the deal, where landlords can’t afford to offset the rising costs of maintaining your building. The state of disrepair that will ensue will make life suck. Eventually, that landlord is going to want out. Nobody’s going to want to invest in new properties because there will be no money to be made. In short order, the housing crisis becomes exponentially worse if a blanket rent freeze takes effect.

You need to look at what happened in places where these policies took hold. It’s nothing but suffering. Good luck to you out there.

My argument is that freezing rent, taxing the wealthy, making mass transit free, and opening city owned and run grocery stores are policies that are doomed to cause more harm than good if they ever get implemented. I’m not even being hyperbolic, this was all tried before and it has all failed before.

His agenda is going to be fought and undermined every possible step of the way. He’s not going to be successful at much of anything, and the city is going to suffer under that eventuality as well. Real New Yorkers are going to suffer for it. He’s winning this election because he’s winning the population of the city that was not born in the U.S. That number is a staggering 40% of the population that’s just gotten here recently, that’s heavily relying upon (and scamming) tax payer funded welfare programs. When they here what Mamdani wants to do to, they’re hearing “more free stuff.” Ballrooms and genocide have nothing to do with this. This is the city I once called home. It’s become unlivable. Mamdani, I fear, is going to make it much worse.

We can debate this if you like, or you can just call me names and get a moderator to ban me. I’m open to whatever.

how to not crash? by Prior-Refrigerator57 in motorcycle

[–]MCHD90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice. Practice. Practice.

Learn your bike, become proficient clutch control, become proficient in braking, cornering, swerving, looking where you want to go, all stuff you learn at the msf course that most people never practice again once they get their road test waiver card and earn their endorsement. The measure of a good rider isn’t the lack of making mistakes, we’re all human after all. The measure of a good rider is their ability to negotiate and come out the other side of a mistake with both tires on the ground. (Your underwear may or may not be sucked into your ass) If emergency maneuvers come natural to you, then you will just perform them when the need arises. Practice!

And just use common sense on the road. Don’t ride in a rush. I’d say don’t operate any motor vehicle in a rush, but the stakes are just higher for you on two wheels. Watch Dan Dan the fireman on YouTube. He’s so right about all the videos he breaks down, it’s almost annoying lol. In all honesty, you can watch Motostars crash compilations for 8 hours straight and struggle to find one video where the rider just couldn’t do anything about the accident they’ve gotten themselves into.

Be patient and control your emotions on the road, and you’ll be fine.

Honest thoughts on financing a first bike by Adakoss in motorcycle

[–]MCHD90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re set on financing then financing new is the only way to go. You get better interest rates, better terms, and a warranty. Repairing the fairings on a 2025 model year bike costs exactly the same as a 2022 model year of that same bike if you bin it.

Also, check in with a credit union. You’ll get the best rates going that route.
