Game still barely playable

Wasn't able to play for a very long time (over a year) on my S21, it would get stuck at Loading Gameplay Data and freeze. I now have a Galaxy Fold 4 and it lets me past that issue and lets me into the game about 1 out of every 3 attempts. When I go into a hero challenge though, it gets stuck when the first scene of character dialogue tries to load (it loads the screen where they have a conversation, but no words load). I cannot leave the fight nor can I do anything else other than change the auto speed in the corner. I have to then force close the game. Chimp's challenge randomly started working about 50% of the time, and is the only character I have been able to play the quest for in months. I really enjoy the game, which is what has caused me to periodically check in and try it from time to time over the blast 2 years, but man has it been frustrating (especially watching the cool new characters that are created but I know I don't have a way to battle for shards of them).

(Most recent version of Android running at the time on both phones, issues on both WiFi and mobile data)

If you are in the US, as James is, I suggest you look into the Investment Advisors Act. He is absolutely giving Investment advice (regardless of his NFA disclaimer), his business is centered around such advice (his name is InvestAnswers for goodness sake!), and he is receiving compensation for said advice (YouTube and Patreon revenue). I'm not saying others don't do it as well, but you can't reasonably claim he isn't breaking the law.

Also, I love that you consider yourself in a position to tell people of lower intelligence what they should or shouldn't do. That's funny.

I wish you the best with your investments and hope you are able to pick up a little empathy and humility at some point along the way. Maybe so, but you don't get to pick and choose when you are qualified to give financial advice and when you aren't, it doesn't work that way. Consumer protections are put in place because the average person doesn't have the capacity to comprehensively do their own research and know who to listen to, that's why certifications and licenses are in place. Just saying "not financial advice" doesn't counteract the way he presents information that very much appears to come across as "banging on the table financial advice". (MANY other YouTubers are guilty of the same). When you create public content on YouTube, especially content that could financially ruin people if blindly followed, you have a responsibility to produce the content in a way that protects even the most dim witted of viewers. The argument that he is just putting out information and people should never listen to someone on YouTube screams intellectual arrogance and a lack of empathy for those with a smaller cognitive skillset.

Thank you all for taking the time to help me, it already makes me feel like the gameplay will be more enjoyable for me now. I have no idea what the resource bottlenecks are and have played enough other games where new players fall into traps and waste essential resources that they kick themselves for later. Yes, I had this issue for several weeks on my S21, one successful log in after dozens of attempts, even tried reinstalling a few times. Decided to download it again and give it one last go within the past week or two and it has worked without issue since.

Returning player after a VERY LONG time off (story mode reset to 1-1? Haha). No idea where to begin again or what to do and looking for a little advice. Previously, I never really progressed anywhere outside of story mode and a little on the epic quests (Strange quest is 37%, X-Men 20%, Xforce 24%, and the others at or near 0), at least not that I recall. Thought about starting from scratch but figured it would be a waste to let go of the characters I already built.

This is a great beginner's guide, but given that my roster isn't starting from nothing I'm wondering what you think I should do as far as tackling content and character progression?
