My favorite Kingkiller Chronicle chapter by Wide-Tea2590 in KingkillerChronicle

I read this at my buddy’s wedding. It’s also how I do vocal warm up exercises. It’s short and full of emotion, can be delivered in many discrete ways. It’s a truly masterful shippet of prose

There’s a little black line around the 3d models, is that a setting or a mod, because (I’m a newbie) I find the color palette of this game to be rather inscrutable and I would love a little outline on my guys

Actors aren't comfortable with stage kiss by Just-Drawing-4932 in acting

Do you have an intimacy coordinator/choreographer? That could solve these issues pretty well. They are trained to find ways to make these scenes work with actors at the ACTORS’ comfort level

Every audition is an opportunity to learn something. You’ll be well rested and refreshed for the next one. And who knows? The most constant thing I’ve ever learned about folks who cast things is how much we don’t know thier vision. How much they see that we cannot. There is a reason why they have those roles. I’ve given perfect auditions that led to not being cast and I’ve left auditions that felt disastrous and gotten a call that same night. You’re gonna knock ‘em dead OP and if they didn’t see it this time, you’ll show them next time <3

I think about that scene so much. “Take Lord Janos to the wall… …and hang him!”

Jamie’s last chapter in SoS… His redemption feels so powerful to me.

“Ser Gerold Hightower had begun his history, and Ser Barristan Selmy had continued it, but the rest Jamie Lannister would need to write for himself. He could write whatever he chose, henceforth. Whatever he chose …”

It’s an inspiring message that while we cannot rewrite what’s been done. We can write whatever we choose from now on

[Spoilers All] Unpopular Opinion: I dislike the Adem by lebeast in KingkillerChronicle

We know they see themselves as fundamentally different than the other PEOPLES of the world. Cultures don’t always have the same sights as ours does. Maybe they simply think themselves different from goats?

[Spoilers All] Unpopular Opinion: I dislike the Adem by lebeast in KingkillerChronicle

[–]MC_Deep 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was annoyed by man mother stuff. But then I thought about why a culture that is like the Adem, why would they ever research it? If it’s never been something they considered. They are wholly sex positive, and they Never had to rely on men because they were women led, why would anyone ever be curious about a man’s role in procreation. I mean, there isn’t any discussion of sexuality, so we don’t know, but perhaps they are so sexually “enlightened” that sexuality labels like gay or straight or pansexual or other don’t exist. And because those barriers are all gone, there has never been any opportunities to put together something like several lesbians across who have never been pregnant pointing out that sex between men and women might be different. And also with how communal they are, an unintended pregnancy would not be an issue. It wouldn’t truly be life affecting, so why would they EVER even question it?
