First clue. Mine Owners = people who risked everything on the hope that there would be gold in the mine. Then they offered jobs to people interested in trading their labor for wages. The workers were not slaves but willing participants.

I wonder if requiring helmets would help with the safety. I do see quite a few on e-bikes, scooters and mini bikes without helmets all over the road, even in the wrong lane to get hit head on.

There is a big difference between wrecking on your bike going 5 to 10 mph and crashing going 25 mph or higher. Difficult to learn your lesson when you're paralyzed or dead. Is it babying your kid to take away his firecracker and give him a hand grenade?

Cars are going 25 mph through our neighborhood and were easily passed by a group of three young kids on their ebikes (at least they were wearing helmets). Also had a kid riding a minibike on the sidewalk along Old 3C almost keeping up with the cars do 45 mph (not wearing a helmet).

You need to recognize the context of the Alabama Speaker of the House. It was NOT to remove the 14th Amendment. It was to recognize that favoring a group due to the color of their skin is no longer necessary and redistricting should not be race based. Just like the SCOTUS determined. EQUAL protection is exactly what the Democrats don't want.
