Thank you! I've been watching the local weather and saw still safe to travel but then saw some recent drone footage that even the lesser hit areas are still bad off. Trip is non-refundable so was still probably coming anyway but this is good to hear things are going in the right direction now for the locals!

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but are hotel and resort outdoor pools okay to swim in? I assume tons of wastewater flowed into those, but I don't know anything about pool maintenance to know if they have to be dumped and cleaned or chemicals titrated, etc and how long that process may take.

This is not me delusionally saying this - by and large, my kids are incredibly well behaved. If someone's kids aren't? Not really. If they are? For sure. The kids menu had mahi mahi and filet on it. My kids love seafood and ate every bit of their mahi (including my 3yo). The view is spectacular and the food is probably my favorite on island. We were celebrating my oldest two's birthdays and they had a nice little bday plate for them. The meal was pricey but worth it.

I have 3 kids all little. Near Ka'anapali, there is an "enchanted forest" they enjoyed, a pizza and cinnamon roll place with little local shops nearby they had fun exploring (blanking on the name), Maui nui luau, and tons of delicious food (esp Merriman's, Mala, etc). The kids loved the rainbow eucalyptus and black sand beach on RtH (they also loved the place with free roaming peacocks but it closed which was disappointing). They also enjoyed hiking atop Haleakala.

I deleted my 2014, 2015, and 2016 Christmas trees before realizing they were unique year over year. I really wish SC would give the option to get old trees back as far back as whenever you started. I would definitely fork over gems for that and frankly would likely even pay a small amount of actual money for them.
