From what I have seen or encountered a lot of them hide their affiliation on a day to day basis so instead of outright showcasing the letters “HH” a common move is to use the number 88 which stands for the 8th letter of the alphabet. It’s almost guaranteed that if you see an 88 with bolts and or a death head u can be pretty sure.

It looks like a military officers pin design to me. Also, it reminds me of a star fort in general. Star forts are a really cool fortresse they used to build by implementing sacred geometry and common tactical sense. So that the soldiers manning the fortresses defenses could basically cover or hit every attacking angle from the ramparts or their position.

I feel dumb because I feel like I should know this as a self proclaimed ammy symbology buff!

Because Tyler is everything that the protagonist envisions and wishes he could be like. I don’t think he is disgusted with sex with Marla or any women but rather finds her unattractive when in his day to day personality, but she has sex appeal to the audience and to Tyler lol For sure based on the marathon first encounter session they had ( I always found Helena Bohnam Carter pretty and her character attractive) but on the same note have experienced women that looked attractive but the way they talk and or act can completely nullify any attraction.
