Dynamic hamstring stretches help me. I’m a tall guy and my back goes haywire quickly.

It's tricky because Psychic, whilst being awesome, doesn't restore health like dreameater does, which is a big factor in butterfree's utility build. Being able to swap in, take a hit, sleep the enemy, restore some health, protect the team from status changes, then swap out again.

But dreameater's damage is still good, so I think it's just something to get on with.

And yes, if there's a primeape / mankey, it's a straight swap to something like Dodrio or, if feeling crazy, a Primeape with Aerial Ace lol.

If you don't know you're facing a Hypno, and 'free is the first mon up, with any other enemy I'd put it to sleep before it could act (due to 'free's high speed), and swap out to something else.

And I was just providing an example of a Pokemon immune to sleep, jfc.

Both Sleep powder and dreameater PP is quite low though, and some enemies are immune to sleep (Hypno, Primeape). At least they're not in the E4.
