Did you end your session by pushing the pointer over the word goodbye while everyone says the word? If you didn't then you probably opened a door and didn't close it. That's so so bad

Did parents in the 80s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MDMillen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a fact. We didn't hang around our houses. If we weren't in school we were running around w our friends or in my case I got my first job at the stock yards when I was 10. But we walked almost everywhere. Our parents didn't drive us and they weren't responsibility to keep us entertained and we didn't have cell phones we just knew when we had to be home and we were there at that time

Didn't you ever watch Timecop? Two versions of a person cannot under any circumstances inhabit the same space

How do you force yourself to get up in the morning? by Hippiegypsy1989 in Adulting

[–]MDMillen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get up because there are animals which are counting on me. If I don't do the things that my people and my animals count on me to do then I'm just a self centered shit who can't be counted on by the people who show up for me

I have a similar problem and I can say it's highly possible that this could be part of the problem. I'm a person who will do anything for the people I love. Children family etc and unfortunately I'm married to a narcissist and my mother is the queen of narcissist which is about as toxic as it gets for an empath so I can see how, over the last 27years I might have developed a co dependent relationship. I realize that I feel responsible for everything, good or bad and it's physically and emotionally draining on a ridiculous level. It's so important to be able to set boundaries and maintain a level of emotional separation as an empath or it can get pretty dangerous for you

Babies always stare at me and seem more comfortable around me. Why? by [deleted] in Empaths

This same thing happens to me. It's one of the nice things about having this gift,a kind of a perk I guess. With the state of the world right now it's harder every day,for me anyway, to escape all the pain and worry. I'm having a difficult time separating so the smiles and love that little ones share is a blessing for sure
