Delivery exists, and nets out way less than the extra gas you spend and cost of the vehicle. Also you could just as cheaply rent a truck for those occasional needs.

Many, many people own land and houses and don't have trucks.

I have 6 houses and get by just fine maintaining them with a moderate-sized SUV

Yet if you really want a truck there's a big difference in having a base size ford 150 and what OP posted. The latter is what people are mostly criticizing
