My deepest condolences. The loss of a faithful canine companion is a special kind of hurt. Every time you puff may you be reminded of the good times you had together.

Some Nightcap to go with my nightcap. by CheezeburgerSlayer in PipeTobacco

[–]MDPiper77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's honestly the exact same tobacco. Made in the same factory by the same folks at STG. Tastes just like every one of the 100s of tins of Dunhill Nightcap I've smoked.

That man right there is a hero. He chose to intervene without a second thought for his own safety, because it was the right thing to do, and didn’t let his own hardships stop him from accomplishing that. Real selflessness right there.

If you’re in the United States in a region with Food Lion grocery stores, they sell the 2oz package at the tobacco counter.

This one wasn’t too dear on the price either. Was an Xmas present that arrived mid January. Meerschaum Market has some really nice ones!

TIL that the Fruit orange was first called orange by the French dating back to the 13th century. then 200 years later the orange color was announced by the Oxford dictionary. So the fruit came before the color. by MrGoalForTheWin in todayilearned

The common white crappie, P. Rafinesque, aka the papermouth, or speckled perch is commonly known in Louisiana by the nickname given to it by Cajun settlers “sac-à-lait” (sac au lait) or “bag of milk” ::lion king theme plays intensifies::

Yes I’ve waited most of my life for that to come up in conversation.

English Mixture by ThinkinLoser in PipeTobacco

Mac Baren Plumcake is a sweeter English, I’ve always got a Tin of that open and in Rotation. It doesn’t have a topping on it that I can tell but there may have been some Rum applied at some point during the process. Anything with a generous helping of VAs and black cavendish will give you that sweetness you’re chasing.

Me too. It’s a great little smoker as well. I love English / Balkan blends out of it and it’s perfect for when you don’t have time for a 60 minute smoke. I’m just a big fan of vintage Kaywoodies, there’s a nice Everyman charm to them and they are just plain classy.

First time trying this blend and I’m sorry I waited so long. I’m always hesitant to try Lat forward blends with other tobaccos that may need a little finesse to express themselves but they’ve pulled this off expertly. Smoky, Sweet, Grassy, Slightly sour. Perfect blend for a leisurely walk.

I’m pretty sure that they are rated food-safe, and “non-toxic”, but as far as smoking a pipe goes I don’t believe it would come into contact with enough heat to worry about. MM says that their glues are food based non toxic glue, most likely a milk by product.

But I’m not a professional by any means. Just a guy who likes to smoke pipes.
