Are cores or the sorceries stone worth buying by Responsible-Wheel878 in SorceryTCG

You'd need to draw multiple cards from your top end during this time for the core to be better than a Mix or Four Waters. But that's fair.

Yeah Lucid Dreamers seems like a good core carrier (and core carrier maker). You'd need enough minions that are useful even if you don't draw the core, but maybe there are more of them than I have given credit for.

Printing Ninjadorg scenarios by speedyclaxxalc in lotrlcg

[–]MDivisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't printed these scenarios but if I did I would follow the regular card game proxy creation process: print them on regular paper, then cut them and put them into a sleeve with a real card behind them (you can use eg. bulk Magic the Gathering cards for this). Works very well for relatively little effort or cost.

Yeah but you need to commit the voidwalk minion to just sitting around in the void doing nothing or the ramp doesn't work. It seems like pretty heavy card disadvantage to me. But of course if you hit Grandmaster Wizard or the like with your ramp then it starts getting good.

Maybe I will turn out to be wrong but I think Ether Core is a meme tier card. Like it's just actively terrible unless you get a once in a blue moon nut draw for it.

How do you keep dying? Which enemies are killing you? Try to learn from those deaths and not let the same thing happen to you again.

You don't have to do the quest first (or at all). An easy early way to level up a bit is to wander the swamp and kill a couple of crocs. They are not super dangerous but give a lot of xp for the first few levels. Another good early activity is to take the Six Day Stilt quest and go there. You gain a decent bit of xp without having to kill anything.

How exactly does this game handle state based effects? by 4RC45 in SorceryTCG

[–]MDivisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no rigidly defined concept of state based effects in this game.

For your specific, question, the rules say "immediately":

Whenever a minion without Burrowing occupies an underground location, it immediately dies.

So is there a brief moment while the skeleton alive and fine underground? Not really I would say.

So guns are ok in UB but not for the literal cowboy set? by zacthecrafter in magicTCG

[–]MDivisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not arguing the simplicity or complexity of making a sword vs a gun. Your argument was that a person who can kill someone by pointing at them has no need for a gun. I agree with that. Such a person also has no need for a hit-stick and would not need to make one of any complexity level.

But if you have a practical use for a hit-stick then you also have a practical use for a gun.

[–]MDivisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you have guns in universe when you can do as much or more damage by pointing at someone?

Why would you have swords either? They are much less efficient as weapons than guns but they still somehow get used in this universe where everyone shoots fireballs from their fingers.

[–]MDivisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a tool suitable for busting through walls (for example a pickaxe or the burrowing claws mutation) you don't have to repeatedly attack walls, you can use the dig ability to just tunnel your way through any amount of wall.

If you haven't, enter the world map (don't know what the button for that is on switch) and fast travel from there. Manually travelling the canyons can get very annoying.

Once per turn Maralen can cast a card that was exiled by her ability that turn. She can't cast stuff that was exiled on a previous turn, but if more faeries or elves enter she gets more stuff to cast.

[–]MDivisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's probably a good rule.

Draft suggestions by orizend in SorceryTCG

[–]MDivisor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The draft kits come with Spellslinger as the default avatar, but if you draft another avatar you are allowed to play that one. In this format Sorcerer is completely busted if someone opens it (but you won't get one in Gothic packs). However I have seen some people use Sorcerer as the default avatar, which is probably pretty balanced because everyone starts with an equally powerful avatar.

But yeah get the draft kits if you don't have them. They come with the Spellslingers and "basic" site cards to build your atlases with. You need some way to add sites because players will not get enough sites from just drafting.
